Neopets’ #1 Screenie Guide! by braikuvdawn

Introduction

Let’s say you’re wandering around Neopia when all of a sudden Something Has Happened!, or you find a lab map piece for 1NP on the wiz, or someone says something funny on the boards. Whatever the case may be, you want to save and cherish the moment forever… but how? You can do that with something called a screenie!

What is a Screenie?

A screenie, screenshot, screencap, screen picture, whatever you want to call it, is basically just that. It’s a picture of your screen. They’re used on Neopets to capture good events like getting an avatar, funny boards, restocking, shop wiz finds, etc. If you would like to see some examples you can check out my screenies by clicking the image below.

A Word From Kym

Welcome to the world of Neopets! I am Kym, a Neopets player, who during my time, have experienced everything that there is to experience about this game. This book contains a wealth of information all waiting for you to uncover and read!

As many of you may know, Neopets is a game of magic and excitement, where any decision you make will affect other aspects of your Neopian life. This world is gifted with friends you can make. On the other hand, it is also plagued with scammers and scoundrels, who like doing nothing better than to rob you of your achievements. In my opinion, the risks are worth it, as this game has been a blessing for me. For me, this game, other than its entertainment value, has been an invaluable educational experience. From its scammers and hackers, I have learnt that the world is not a perfect place. Through its integrated commerce system, I have learnt the real value of money. Through its stock market, auctions and trading, I have learnt valuable commerce and haggling skills. These things cannot be learnt in the classroom, and I am thankful that I was able to learn this in a simulated environment rather than learning it in the real world, where results could become nasty. Key Quest Guide by Seshennu

What is Key Quest?
Key Quest is a new multi-player interactive game designed by Neopets. It’s been compared to games like Mario Party, in which you control a Neopets-themed token and roll dice to go around a game board. The objective is to collect a certain pre-determined number of keys (from a minimum of two to a maximum of five). Along the way, you can land on different squares that have a variety of functions including adding Neopoints to your score, starting mini-games and giving you different power-up cards that can be used to further your game.

Neopets at Hamleys (Page 2)

Blobbi_kid’s Visit to Hamleys

Having spent the night with two other neopets obsessed friends, we woke up bright and early (TOO bright and early) to get to Hamleys just as it opened. No such luck. We got there about fifteen minutes late, and already the store was packed. Whilst my friends father kept our place in the queue, I and my other friends spent a frenzied five minutes choosing our voice activated neopets, eventually deciding on a Red Shoyru, a Red Kougra and a Blue Kougra (mine!) quickly named Spud, Rory and Aramink respectively. Then we got in the queue and waited, and waited, and got very hassled by a guy in a Blue Lupe costume who liked one of my friends shoes, (they were fluorescent!) my other friends hair (plaits) and generally leaning on me for some reason. It took about two hours to get to the neopets artists, after having claimed free rare item codes and candy canes, running around Hamleys dementedly and listening to a guy yell “smelly goo! It makes balloons!” Where we had our favourite pets drawn.

Scamming/Hacking – A White Rabbit’s Hackers Point of View by ladymcalpine2001

The name’s ladymcalpine2001. I’ve been with Neopets for 21 months now, and I’ve enjoyed it immensely. But I’ve been the victim of 9 account hacks – my pet, babatasha, is the sole survivor of those 9 hacks. All my other pets were frozen/deleted.

My stupidity was the cause of the first 2 hacks – scammers if you will. The third, fourth and fifth times were through who I thought were TRUSTED Neofriends. Sixth was through someone deciding my account with 2.8 million NP would be good to share, which resulted in it being frozen. Seventh and eight times were through blatant smartasses being “cool” on Neopets. And the Ninth was only recently…
