As we all have heard, America’s middle class is disappearing!!! Who cares? We’ll fix it. The thing that has been on my mind lately: Neopets’s middle class is literally gone! Either items are unbuyable (only people who have the Number Six avatar are able to buy them), they are expensive, or they are just plain crap. Now, as someone who truly cares about the many Neopians around, I feel I should lend a hand to all of you who need help making neopoints. So, here is my list on how to become rich. I call it, “Ten Tips for Making Neopoints”.
Play the sponsor games!!! Now, this may seem silly, maybe ridiculous to some of you, but by playing the sponsor games I make over 10,000 neopoints a day. You don’t have to be good at them. Most are quiz or trivia games to which certain petpages or sites have listed the answers. It can’t get any easier, people! So, now when you see those ‘10,000 Neopoints a Day’ guides or boards, you can just laugh and say, “I already have it. It doesn’t take long at all.”
Another thing that might surprise you, sell everything you find on the ground, for 100-1000 neopoints LESS than the lowest prices on the wiz. I made over 75,000 neopoints doing this, and it doesn’t take long.
Sell your petpets. I know what you’re thinking, “No! My poor pet! I will never ever sell her pet!” But when you are trying to save up for something every point counts, and although it seems nice to have a petpet, at the moment, you don’t need one. After you have what you have saved for, save for the petpet.
If you must have a painted pet immediately, there are adoption agencies and other groups that simply give them away, but you must be a good owner, and preferably, only have one or no pets at the moment. This does not mean you should abandon your pets. If you do that, you will be losing money, as well as sending that poor pet to the pound! That isn’t fair, now is it?
Play the games you are good at. Now, I don’t think it is logical to just play games, no, that is rather illogical. Try to only play the games you are good at and the few games that have fail-proof guides to help you.
Play the many ‘Spin the Wheel’ games. You can’t imagine how much you can really get from these. They are rather inexpensive and often make up for what you pay. Even the Wheel of Mediocrity generally pays you back.
If you have a premium account, use it to your advantage. Do a lot of Shop Wizard restocking, and even if you don’t, try to apply the same things to regular shops and user shops. Do not, however, buy items that are not in demand. I have made that mistake and now have two faeries that nobody bought. Also, list what you buy each item for and what it sells for. Also, keep track of the time it sold if you can use this data correctly.
Open trades on really expensive things like map pieces. You’ll have a lot of offers in the first few minutes and can get a really good one if you try.
If you happen to acquire all the normal codestones or some other avatar item, lend them for collateral or put them in the auctions. Many times their prices skyrocket because bidders forget what the item is really worth.
And finally, the most obvious tip I can think of, don’t spend it all on junk. Some of these tactics may fail due to improper execution, but blowing it all on say, a neohome (which are big no-nos if you want to make money) will not get you where you need to be.
Well, I hope this guide will help you become a bit richer, and I hope it helps revive a small piece of the Neopets middle class. Thanks for reading! – Isabelle Dubois
