The Fire Faerie wants you to get her “Red Satin Collar”!!
Ever wonder why the faeries want these things? Or perhaps your imagination has dared you to think up new ideas for faeries. However it may be, there are wonderful things that happen when you come across a faerie. Fyora and elemental faeries give out random quests, but they don’t let you use the Shop Wizard (there are boards if you need help)! Illusen, Jhudora, and Taelia give quests where they tell you to get an item and certain set time to receive them in. Unfortunately, most of these quests aren’t profitable and therefore deemed unneeded, but they can be rewarding sometimes.
Here are a few faeries you might know of, and a few you might not:
Fire Faerie
These faeries inhabit the hotter places of Neopia. Visiting these faeries help your neopet get strong because these special faeries can grant battle magic. Doing quests for the Uber Fire Faerie will increase your pet’s strength level. What does she want in return, you may ask? Well, all she requests is clothes. The most famous of Fire Faeries are Eithne, who resides in the Mystery Island Volcano plot and Nuria, a Faerie from the Lost Desert who stars in the Lost Desert plot on Neopets.
Air Faeries
These wonderful little faeries bless your pet with abilities from the sphere of air. These powers include invisibility, haste, or flight. If greeted by an Uber Air Faerie she’ll ask for grooming items and in return she will increase your pet’s speed. The most famous Air Faerie appeared during the Battle for Meridell plot… Psellia.
Earth Faeries
These lovely little creatures love to collect and store items and can grant powers such as toughened skin, the ability to magically create food or burrow into the ground (sounds like a squirrel to me.) When met by the Uber Earth Faerie she’ll ask for magical items and will heal and bloat your pet. Illusen is the single most famous earth faerie. She lives in Meridell and gives out timed quests rivaling her arch-nemesis, Jhudora.
Water Faeries
In the rivers and streams of Neopia and Maraqua you might be able to find a Water Faerie. While on quest for a book, which a Water Faerie will ask for, she’ll be determining how to increase your pets defense level–which is the reward for doing her quest as asked. Neried is a famous Water Faerie. You might know her if you go to the Healing Springs in Faerieland. There are evil Faeries as well called The Drenched whom recently appeared in the Curse of Maraqua Plot.
Light Faeries
Living in the fluffy clouds in upper Neopia are the radiant Light Faeries. Because these Faeries are devoted to good causes, they rarely stray deep down to lower levels. If a neopet is honorable, they grant him or her holy powers such as bless and restore. The Uber Light Faerie will ask for collectable cards and will raise levels! Siyana, living in Altador is a famous Light Faerie.
Dark Faeries
The last elemental faerie are the Dark Faeries. These Faeries go for the ones who are weak of heart. The abilities include creating darkness, draining life, and vision at night. The Uber Dark Faerie that requests a quest will ask for toys and will raise your pet’s health and points. You should know one the most famous Dark Faerie, Jhudora. She lives in Faerieland and gives out quests, like Illusen. Also, The Darkest Faerie is a famous Faerie who even has her own game for Playstation 2!
Negg Faeries
When going to the Neggery you will meet this elusive little faerie. She will turn in your regular neggs for tokens which you can spend on special neggs which can do everything from increase your pets stats or change its overall color.
Tooth Faerie
The Tooth Faerie goes around Neopia looking under all those neopets pillows and giving out money to those who have recently lost a tooth. If you are lucky, when she visits your neopet, you might even get to use her as an Avatar.
Soup Faerie
The Soup Faerie feeds your pet when you have very little money. She’s the Faerie you would see working and making food for those neopets who’s owner is currently broke. She’ll even nourish your pet back to life and give them a warm bed until they are restored to full energy.
Fyora the Faerie Queen
If you are lucky enough to find the Hidden Tower you have seen first hand the Faerie Queen. She spends her days leisurely in her enormous castle in Faerieland and sells her incredible super rare items. While her quests are unpredictable she raises multiple stats upon completion.
Space Faerie
Living among the stars, exploring different galaxies. What a life to live. However, the Space Faerie does. Her and Dr. Frank Sloth are enemies. But there is a reason for this. During one plot, Dr. Frank Sloth takes her capture and you needed to adopt 20,000 Grundos to free her. When greeted by this very rare faerie she will raise your pet by FOUR levels, and although she may ask for an expensive item, it pays off in the end.
Battle Faerie
Once upon a time, the Battle Faerie was rumored to help the inexperienced pets learn to defend themselves and teach stronger ones important life-long lessons. Aethia is the current Battle Faerie, but her predecessor was Valeane. If you beat her she rewarded you with amazing and rare items. She is currently retired and her weapons are sold at the Battle Magic Shop.
Taelia the Snow Faerie
Up in the highest point of Terror Mountain Taelia lives and is always in need of spell ingredients, although what she uses them for is unknown. If you aid her she will rewarded you, however the prizes aren’t great even though there are some exceptions.
Jhuidah the Island Faerie
While looking over the Island Cooking Pot Jhuidah sometimes adds a dash of magic to your recipes to help make something exotic and unusual. During 2003 in a mystery in Mystery Island you had to solve Jhuidah was put into a bowl by Eithne. If you released this poor Faerie you received an avatar.
Grey Faerie
When a Faerie looses its wings, it becomes grey. Only one has since been reported, Baelia. Baelia was locked to the top of a mountain and you had to tell the lock of the prison the password to free her. Baelia usually wears a green outfit, with green eyes, and beautiful white wings… a lot like Taelia. Taelia, ironically, moved to terror mountain without reason. Taelia and Baelia are the only faeries seen with non-color hair, black and white.
The Library Faerie
Not only does this faerie run the Faerieland Bookshop, she also runs the Daily Crossword! The faster you complete her crossword, the more neopoints she’ll reward you with.
Fountain Faerie
If you’ve changed your pet with a brush from the newbie pack, or maybe even a faerie paint brush you’ve seen the Fountain Faerie. She lives in Faerieland, operating the Rainbow Fountain. Getting Fountain Quests are quite rare but she’ll reward your pet with any color you like except Royal, Robot, and MSP. She generally asks for rarities between 86 and 94.
There are bottled faeries as well: Light, Air, Fire, Water, Dark, and Earth. Once released they will either bless your pet or nothing will happen. However, you have the choice of selling them or auctioning them off for a nice little profit of money.
If you get the chance for a quest, go for it. They usually don’t cost much money and help your pets dramatically but, don’t go looking for them as they are random events. Sometimes they’re right under your nose. – BeautyAngel3489
