So, you’re just starting out on Neopets, or you’re an old-timer and looking for a way to earn some extra neopoints. Here are some simple things that you can do that will help you on your way to ultimate riches. Good luck!!

Tip 1

Save, save, save!! Always put your money into your bank account, and remember to collect your interest every day. Currently, I can collect 86 NP per day of interest. Over a 30 day month that’s 2,580 NP at least! Times that by 12 calendar months, and that’s 30,960 NP. Every bit helps!

Tip 2

Give your neopets a comfortable life, but not extravagant ones! There’s no need to buy that 500 NP toy for them, when a 100 NP key chain will do just fine. They get the same reaction from it, so why wouldn’t you just save the 400 NP? Also, with food, the daily omelette, daily jelly and soup kitchen (only if you’re really poor) do a great job. These are all free, and you get food for your neopet without spending any loot.

Tip 3

Work your shop! If you have an item that is worth over 1,000 NP, don’t put it in your shop, auction it! Chances are it will go for more that what it’s worth. My tip is to start the price ten or so neopoints below the current trading price.

Tip 4

Use the game room to your advantage: Play games that you know will give you lots of money, like Hassee Bounce (send scores over 100, then you have at least 300 NP), Turmac Roll (again, scores over 150ish, send. Also, try to get the rare berries. Even if you die straight after, the points will be worth it. I once got 1,500 NP in one turn!), Extreme Potato Counter (play in a quiet room, concentrate, and send any scores over 20), and Spell-or-Starve is one of my favourites. It’s just like Scrabble except you get loads of neopoints from it! Normal Potato Counter gets you at least 225 NP a day. Also, the game of the day (“feature game”) gets you double neopoints, which helps.

Tip 5

If you are like me and only go on Neopets once in a while, save all your items from the Advent Calendar. I have ones left from the calendar in year seven, and some of the prices have almost doubled from what they were worth back then! Save your items and reap the benefits a year later.

Tip 6

Every now and again, take about 1,000 NP out, and spend it on the Coconut Shy or something like that. I did, and I won 10,000 NP!
