Lists of Ways to Get Scammed by Brendon Gan-le

Here’s a few list of ways people can scam you out of NP, into your account, or make your account freeze:

1. They can just ask you for your password

Never give your password to anyone even if 1 million people say that he REALLY will give you NP, Items, Etc.

2. They can ask you to change your e-mail

Never change your e-mail address to a address you don’t own. Ppeople can try to trick you and say; change your e-mail to draggoondc@hotmail.com and then send a mail to it saying “NP____(ammont of NP wanted) USERNAME________ (Username there)”; and then first they know that the username you put in there changed there e-mail address to draggoondc@hotmail.com so they will type your username in the “forgot password box” and then they get a e-mail with all your password details, easy eh?

Getting On

Neopets isn’t a complicated world. However, one of the biggest hurdles a player will have to overcome is the sheer amount of information they will have to process in order to adequately begin playing the game. The game concept may be simple enough, but the changes, which constantly occur, are anything but simple. Actually, it is darn right confusing. Therefore, reading this will sort you from the new players and give you that competitive edge, which will make your gaming experience so much more fun as you leave your friends and adversaries eating your dust in awe as you speed off into the horizon.

The Confessions of a Scammer by The Basilisk

Hello everyone, I am the Basilisk, and I am a scammer.

Woah, put the knife down! While I do spend my time trying to cheat hapless children out of their neopoints and items, Im afraid my conscience has been bothering me of late. That, and earning millions this way have become far too easy. So, in a remarkable display of kindness and generosity from someone with such a villainous neoprofession, Im going to tell you why I scam, why others scam, and what you can do to stay out of our little password snares.

First off, why do people scam in the first place? The most obvious reason is, of course, the neopoints. Many n00bs decide that the best thing to do with their pathetic young neolives is to get others to give them their neopoints. But this isnt the only reason to scam. Some scammers are neopets veterans, to whom the game has become bland and unchallenging, despite the new features arriving every day. To those of us who have played the game for awhile, scamming is that new challenge weve been seeking for so long, another way to play the game. I had half a million before I begun to scam, plenty to get by in Neopia. To me, and to many others, the neopoints that come with the job are just an added bonus.

Giving Your Neopet a Life of His or Her Own by Kabusiek

So at the time of writing, there are 171 263 709 pets in Neopia. Admittedly, not all of these pets are in active accounts and not all of those active pets have owners that roleplay. Still, Id say about, what, 15%? 20%? of those 171 263 709 pets are roleplayed on a regular basis. While this is, admittedly, pretty darn cool and means that there are usually tons of roleplayers online, it also means that roleplayers are at a bit of a disadvantage. Point being: with that many unique and interesting characters being roleplayed out there, how can somebody make sure that their pet is a unique and interesting character?

ANTE: The “ante” is the amount of neopoints you contribute to the winning cash. You always put in of what you, Monty, Grimtooth or Deadeyes will win.

ANTE-UP: When your ante goes up when you win a certain amount of times.
