Have you always wanted a beautiful neohome? The kind people stare at when they walk past? Well you’ve come to the right place! Here I will take you from planning the layout of your neohome to the final touches!
Layout Planning
The first step to building a successful neohome is planning it out. Take a piece of paper and divide it into 25 squares. Then mark in each square whether it will be a room or a garden. Make your layouts interesting! Don’t have all rooms, (or all gardens), and vary your boundaries.
As you can see, I have colored the garden areas green, and the rooms grey. This does not have to be final; you can change your mind through out the building process. Make sure to have enough rooms!
Curb Appeal
Curb Appeal… the thing that makes young neopets walking down the street stop… and go “Oooohhh… Generally the bigger a neohome, the more grand it looks. Lots of front gardens and a large door make a nice touch.

As an example, a room with a theme of “Coconut” would include:
Bedroom for yourself
Just pick a theme other then one of your pet’s rooms, and go! Get something special, because it IS your room, such as a robopet.
Bathroom
There are many great themed bathroom sets! Make sure to get a toilet, mirror, bathtub, rug, and shelf!
Kitchen
This is where your pets will be spending their time eating, so a neat orderly kitchen is good. Make sure to get a sink, several shelves, a table, chairs, food storage, and a rug!
Living Room
This room is where most of your pets, and your time will be spent. Comfy and cosy is the key! Make sure to get a couch, rug, table, desk, chairs, fireplace, and beanbag chair.
Storage
This is where you can store all your out of season decorations, and furniture you’ve bought for unfinished rooms.
Feel free to add extra items, and let your creativity run wild!

A nice touch to your neohome are gardens. These are a perfect blend between plants and accessories. Every garden should have a bench, pond, at least one tree, and several plants!
