The Day When my Friend Became a Scammer by Lulu

One sunny day, I was there on my computer, playing meerca chase, and I also in msn with one of my neo friends. His name was Daniel and he was a VERY, VERY bad neopets player. He was bad and games and stock marketer, he had bad luck at wheels, the ghosts always took his omelettes and other good things. He was scammed at the trading post (One day he traded a codestone, a negg and a faerie for a box of wheat flakes, and a lot of bottles of sand, toy sail boats, sandals, etc.) He didnt liked guilds, so he was so poor. he only had like 5000, and sometimes he bet 2500 on my posts to go to the soup kitchen. Maybe he was so stupid, I mean, ha had 1 almost dying pet, so I gave him some stupid food (omelettes, faerie cakes. wheat flakes) every day. I was like her mom giving stuff to the child, till one day.

A Drastic Mistake by inthemist22

I remember back when I was a Newbie. Though I may have changed my screen Name several times, I still love Neopets just as much as I once did four years ago, in 4th grade. I discovered Neopets through some of my buddies at school. I remember that they didn’t want me to join, because Id be copying them if I did. But once I took a look at the web site, I fell in love. Everything was so mystical and truly awesome. Though now Neopets isn’t as classic as it once was, it has its positives still. There are more varieties now then ever before. And despite the major lack of value now, I still enjoy all the fun games and funky Shops.

Double Agent Noob

First, let me introduce myself: for obvious reasons I will not post my real username here, but among newbies (both the unknowing-but-willing-to-learn and the Ill-do-anything-if-you-give-me-something-shiny kind) Im known as Double Agent no0b, the Hacker with a Heart, the Undercover Scammer, or 007-Neowell, you get the idea. (To be honest, no one calls me that. Most of my victims tend to call meehma certain four-letter word which I shall not post here. Still, I prefer to be called the Undercover Scammer because A: it sounds cool and B: you KNOW it sounds cool).

Scammed: Shop Scam by Cavewoman22

Just wanted to share my story so other folks won’t be fooled. I’d like to think of myself as pretty smart, heck, I do have a college degree, but that didn’t mean diddly-squat when I fell into this scammer’s trap. And trap it was.

I’m minding my own business using the Shop Wiz to find me a relatively inexpensive orn codestone. I was hoping to find one under 3,000 NP. Guess what, I did, 2300 NP, I’ll take it! I clicked on the username and it took me to their shop. Well, their shop has lots of codestones, but not for 2300, but for 500 NP!! What a dope, I’m thinking, so I quickly click on a codestone before someone else discovers these treasures. Well, instead of getting a little box asking me if I’m sure I want to pay 500 NP, I suddenly get pop-ups popping up all over the place which distracts me. When I get rid of the boxes, I have a new screen. It’s the official Neopets sign-in page, so I’m thinking I got kicked out of the system, and I’m also thinking I got to hurry and get those cheap codestones. WRONG. Turns out what looked identical to the sign-in page of Neopets wasn’t really authentic. (Not that anyone could tell) I discover all this the next day when I go to get on Neopets and my account is frozen. As soon as I signed in that screen disappeared. I have no way to remember who it was.
