Wheel of Misfortune Guide by this_wunnerful_world

The Wheel of Misfortune can be found in the Deserted Fairground. It costs 100 NP to operate. You can only spin it once every two hours. There are eight possible outcomes:

Outcome 1

The Pant Devil (scary blue guy) steals one of your items. This is why we have safety deposit boxes. Please don’t get complacent, as there is nothing you can do to protect against a bad random event except to use the Bank and your Safety Deposit Box.

Outcome 2

Pox: Your pet catches a disease from the wheel. Don’t panic, as these can most often be easily cured by inexpensive medications found through the Shop Wizard. My pet caught the Itchy Scratchies, but I cured it with Itchy Scratchy Cream. Unfortunately, I have no idea where to find cheap cures for expensive diseases.

Outcome 3

+NP: This should be pretty straightforward.

Outcome 4

-NP: This should also be pretty straightforward. Note that I have not heard of any cases where users lose or gain a significant amount of NP. My advice to you is to put all your cash EXCEPT for 100 NP into the bank so they can’t subtract NP.

Outcome 5

You receive a random gift. These include Haunted Woods themed plushies, food, and furniture.

Outcome 6

Some thing that looks like a brown Pant Devil: You receive a random spooky petpet.

Outcome 7

A book ripped in half: Your pet forgets a book and has to read it again (has it occurred to you to adopt some poor random pet just so you can inflict these terrible things on it?).

Outcome 8

A random item is turned to sludge, but as a consolation prize, you receive an AVATAR!!! YAY!!! This is why we use our Safety Deposit Boxes!

About five out of eight of your possible outcomes are negative. Most of these can be made positive. You can negate the -NP, sludge, and pant devil options, which makes about a 3 in 5 chance of something good happening. Good luck, and spin the Wheel of Excitement next time! – this_wunnerful_world
