1. Giving Away 1 Million Neopoints and a Baby Paintbrush
If this person has been on Neopets for a short time they have either cheated to get that amount of money or lying. If they have been on Neopets for a long time they should know the rules and it is not likely someone who has been on Neopets so long would jeopardize their account by saying something so stupid. For anyone on Neopets to give you neopoints or items they do not need your password.
They can give an item by clicking on the item in their inventory and choosing ‘give to neofriend’ and type in your user name; you don’t even have to be neofriends with them. Also they can put it in a trade for you and you can offer a junk item (worth 1np) or vise versa to get the item or neopoints they are saying they want to give you.
If you have given out your password quickly change your password close what ever contact you have with them.
Save any neomails asking for your password or explaining the scam and report them using that. If you wish block them from neomailing you.
If this happens on the neoboards report the post that explains the scam they are trying to pull even if it contains chatspeak.

2. Giving Away My Account
If they have been on Neopets for a long time and have grown tired of the account most people would give it to a friend or abide by the rules and self freeze. If they have been on Neopets for a short time they may not know that you are not allowed to give away you account and they probably do not have much or value anyway.
They do not need your password “to see if you take care of your pets” as most will say. They can look at your user lookup to see that stuff.
If so far it seems correct and they have not asked for your password and they have given you there’s don’t think your home safe yet. They will have the account set up in their email so even if you have changed the password they can say they forgot their password and they will now have the new password that you just changed it to.
This happened to me about a year ago: they gave me their password and I went into the account then she neomailed me from her account and said good luck etc and said “don’t forget to change the password.” I changed the password and by the time I went to change the email she had reported he account stolen and got my side account frozen and the one she gave me suspended for 3 days.
After day three she had changed he password again and continued on pretending to give away her account hoping people would get her items then she could steal it back. If you see a person trying to give away their account either on the neoboards or by neomail notify them of the rules then report them using your evidence of the scam.
(This is not a scam if they give you their info and you change the password and email address without getting frozen of the new account suspended enter at your own risk.)
3. Guess my Pet’s Name and Win a Prize
If they are new to the site calmly remind them of the rules and if they refuse to stop or become rude do not post anymore and report them.
Many times where I have sat back and watched these boards progress once someone guesses the right answer or the creator of the board get board they suddenly disappear. If you participate in these types of boards you as well as the creator of the board could get suspended or even frozen.

4. 15/M/Cali I Want Some Girls
These types of boards are commonly found on the newbies board. A lot of inappropriate boards are made just so the creator can purposely get frozen and take other down with them.
TNT (the neopets team) does let a lot of the 15/M/Cali boards go if they are clean because the newbie board is for meeting other (new) members but if it has anything to do with dating or has sexual content even in chatspeak “like I want some girls” it is reportable and all participants could be suspended or frozen.

5. If You Buy From my Shop I’ll Give a Gift
Most of the time when I see this all the items in their shop are highly over priced and once you buy the item the user suddenly disappears and you don’t get your item.
This is not reportable the owner of the shop can price their items however high they want to be sure to check the shop wizard price and be able to accept the consciences if you don’t receive your item.
Once again all participants of scam boards could be suspended or frozen.
