Shopping How To by Shoyru_Lover

Shopping is an activity which neopians practice to purchase for their neopets toys, food and various other items. Many people also use this option to stock their own stores so they can resell their bought items. Unless you don’t mind watching your neopoints unnecessarily spill down the drain, learning haggling and shopping skills is a must – at official shops anyway.

Shop Restocking

Often when a neopian visits official stores, they will find that the store is empty of items. This is usually because the store items were so popular, that they were cleaned out (the book shop is a classic example of this)! Neopets shops usually restock their items every eight minutes, so stick around and you’ll have a chance of being one of the first people with first pick of items when they do restock. Just ensure you buy the items quickly before anyone else can!

Neopets: The Newbies Guide by Elephantoguno

So, you’ve just created an account. You’re standing there with a couple hundred neopoints, wondering what do to. First off, create a neopet – any pet will do, they are mostly just for appearance and some special ineffective weapons.

Now, immediately after creating your neopet, go the Neolodge (located in the Neopia Central). Put him in a Cockroach Lodge (with no extras). As odd as it is, he’ll love it.

Now around the site you should see some banners, buttons, saying “get free neopoints when you…”. For now, ALWAYS participate in these offerings. They will increase your daily neopoint income greatly.

Now, take some of those hard-earned neopoints and donate around 150 – 200 neopoints to the money tree. Yes, you’re throwing your money away, but it makes you more “generous”, allowing you better luck in your daily rituals. Along with donating money, you should also donate any useless items you have. This will further increase your luck and fortune.

Tricks Seen (and Some Not Seen) in Other Guides For Neopoints by spawnofsloth666

Here I’m going to talk about some tricks that are obvious and some that are not to make you some np in Neopia.

1) Play games: You’ve heard it before and I’ll say it again. It’s the best way and probably fastest to making np in Neopia.

2) Invest in the stock market: Some say don’t with the 15 np/share policy but if it goes below 15 its a certainty it’ll go above again, and the Pant Devil cant swipe your investments!

3) Do your daily tasks: Tombola, Fruit Machine, Coltzan’s Shrine… You’ve heard it all before. Additionally, sell your omelettes which you can get for free in Tyrannia. You may ask, “How do I feed my pet?” and that’s when the rare trick comes in.

How to Sell Effectively on Neopets by Alex K

Have you ever had items priced at the same reasonable prices that the ones in the shop wizard are, but it just sits there for weeks with out anyone buying it? Just because you price the item slightly lower than everything on the shop wizard, doesn’t mean people will buy it. Rarely does anyone sell an item worth over 10,000 np. This is because the items worth might be high, but since it costs so much no one will buy it (and few have enough NP to even afford it if they wanted it). So, if you find a paint brush on the floor that’s worth, say, 20,000np, but you didn’t actually pay any Np to get the item. So you might want to sell it for 19,000np, (since the ones in the shop wizard are priced at around 20,000, people will want to buy yours, right? Wrong) but find that it just sits there forever. Since you didn’t pay anything for it in the first place, by selling it for 5np you would still be making more money. The same goes with buying cheap food at the shops. You buy a tomato in the shops for 3 Np. You want to sell it, and look it up in the Wiz for a reasonable price (they sell for 50np). That is outrageous, considering you’re paying around 15 times as much. So how much do you sell your tomato for if you bought it for 3np? You sell it for 5 or 6 np. Take it from us…in our shop we will usually sell food items for around 5 np, or about 2 more np than we got them for in the shop. You may say that that’s stupid because we only make 2 np total profit, but if you but cheap stuff like that and keep selling it like that for a while (I our account we have close to 800 items, 800,000np and 4 extremely strong pet, and we’ve been playing for about 5 months) you’ll get tons of np and your items will go quickly. Trust us, it seems stupid, but it works. The whole point of this: In order to sell an item quickly, sell it much much cheaper than the shop wizard prices 🙂 – Alex K.
