Neopets: The Newbies Guide by Elephantoguno

So, you’ve just created an account. You’re standing there with a couple hundred neopoints, wondering what do to. First off, create a neopet – any pet will do, they are mostly just for appearance and some special ineffective weapons.

Now, immediately after creating your neopet, go the Neolodge (located in the Neopia Central). Put him in a Cockroach Lodge (with no extras). As odd as it is, he’ll love it.

Now around the site you should see some banners, buttons, saying “get free neopoints when you…”. For now, ALWAYS participate in these offerings. They will increase your daily neopoint income greatly.

Now, take some of those hard-earned neopoints and donate around 150 – 200 neopoints to the money tree. Yes, you’re throwing your money away, but it makes you more “generous”, allowing you better luck in your daily rituals. Along with donating money, you should also donate any useless items you have. This will further increase your luck and fortune.

Learn From a Scammer by Anonymous

So you want to make quick neopoints? Like ultra quick neopoints? Enough to buy you a rare paintbrush within a short amount of time? Or perhaps you want to get all the pieces to the lab map? Well, how about learning from a scammer? Sure, that sounds good, but I think I shall give you a little warning first. Scamming can and will 99% of the time get your account frozen. I lost an account that had almost 10 million in it because of scamming. And I am in no way encouraging you to scam people, I am simply here to tell you the life of Neopets from a scammer’s point of view.

Avatar Wishing by felicalittle

There are many wonderful avatars that grace the Neopets site currently but there are a few that they are lacking, or at least some of us think so. Do you ever wonder why there isnt an avatar for this or an avatar for that? I know I have. One avatar I would really like to see would be a stock market avatar. Another would be a book related avatar. What about a restocking avatar?

We Neopians should get together and begin requesting those long awaited avatars from the editorial or on the chat boards until eventually some of them are released. I have a few ideas about different avatars I would like to see, I mean really see, and would even try to collect them.

Pyramids Guide by b_catt

There are a few strategies which increase your chance of luck in this game, or at least get you more points:

  1. Always go for the longest runs first (getting rid of the most cards). For example, the card dealt allows a play of a run increasing the card value OR one decreasing the card value, play the run that gets rid of/reveals the most cards.
  2. Sometimes if you have the right cards available to play (or uncover them as you are playing a run) you can play a run and then reverse it, getting 100+ points on one card. For example, dealt: 2, play: 3-4-3-2-A-K-Q rather than A-K-Q or 3-4.

Now, I bet you’ve looked at this title and thought.. HA! It’s one of those “Get rich quick” guides. You know, the ones that say play this game, play that game and you’ll win all these neopoints & live a happy neolife. Sorry you’re wrong, in fact this guide is much more interesting than that. I’m not going to tell you everything you already know about making NP’s (restocking, playing games, etc..) I’m going to help you enhance your experience on Neopets.
