Neopets: The Darkest Faerie PS1

Everyone knew this was going to happen, and it did! Coming to the Play Station console comes an RPG styled Neopets game from The Code Monkeys, Ltd. The unveiling of the information came as a sudden wave, taking many by surprise, and to think that Neopets was able to keep the entire production under wraps? They ought to be commended! A sampling of the game should be available to the public at the Electronic Entertainment Expo for 2003. The following information was taken from http://e3.playstation.com/

Title – NEOPETS The Darkest Faerie
Publisher – SCEA
Developer – The Code Monkeys, Ltd.

Faerie Bubbles Tips

Light combos, fire combos and positioning of random bubbles

Here are a few tips that I’ve found helpful when playing Faerie Bubbles:

1. Light combos are your friend! Sometimes light combos seem like they’re bad because they change the surrounding bubbles to unpredictable colors. But they’re actually very useful. If you can make a light combo right next to a huge chunk of Earth, Air, or Dark bubbles, you’ll get rid of them and you won’t have to deal with the combos that ARE bad.

2. Same thing goes for fire combos. If you start out with a big chunk of “bad” bubbles, making a fire combo next to them can get rid of some of them so you won’t have to get a bad combo. Be on the lookout for opportunities!

Finally a game for us puzzle lovers! (Well, other than Faerie Caves). The great thing about this game is that you can lose as often as you want, and it doesn’t count against you. That leaves you free to explore and try out new things.

The game becomes easier once you learn how the Guards move, so you can better avoid and outsmart them. The first rule is that if you are within their “awakening distance” the Elephante guards will move up and down the screen to follow you unless there is something to block them from moving up and down. At this point they won’t move left or right any more unless you come back into line with their left or right. I will refer to an elephante stopped at a block as being “trapped” and as walking in line with a trapped elephante as “releasing” him. The elephante will also move left or right if he manages to catch up with your position on the “up/down” axis as you run from him.

Are Neopians Less Patient? by TwistedFaerie

Once upon a time Neopets didn’t have that many features. There was no battledome, no storylines, a dozen games. What you did was feed your pet, play a game or two and then chat it up in the chat rooms that were placed throughout the shops.

I remember when the Battledome first was supposed to come out. It came out six months late. Sure we complained here and there but all and all we were just excited to be getting a new feature.

Now if Neopets are late we scream and cry and send numerous complaints on how they’re not being responsible. But do they really owe us anything at all for they’re free service? Do we really have the right to demand the things we get?
