Santa’s Sleigh Guide by Dave Redden

Santa's Sleigh logoThe new Santa’s Sleigh game, sponsored by Wal-Mart, has two ways to approach it and score well.

The first way should guarantee you 1,000 points and a score of 510 NP. The second way is a little more hit-and-miss but, done correctly and with a little luck, can bring a decent score too.

Method A

This is the simple way of doing things. You will need a pen and paper. I actually do this with my kids, ages five and seven, and it helps them with image recognition.

Give all the toys an abbreviation. Here’s what I use:

  • B = Ball
  • BB = Bat & Ball
  • C = Car
  • D = Doll
  • G = Gameboy
  • J = Jacks
  • L = Yellow & Blue Blocks (as in Lego)
  • P = Plane
  • R = Rocket
  • T = Train
  • TB = Teddy Bear
  • Y = Yoyo

As Santa names the toys, simply write down the abbreviations in order. I find it easier to click the toys and place them in the bag in order, too, because it cuts down the chance of making mistakes. Four rounds of toys later and you should have maximum points.

Method B

This method is more hit-and-miss but should work well if you don’t have a pen and paper.

Be sure to take note of at least one item that Santa asks for. Do not add this item until the final toy is needed.

Simply click on different toys one by one. If you click on a toy that is correct, your score will go up. If the score does not go up, be sure to remove the last toy entered. Continue to do this until you are just one toy short of finishing the level. That toy should be the one that you are sure of, and now is the time to click on it.

Be aware that Santa may ask for two or three of the same toy, especially in the later rounds, so some trial and error is needed with this method; but it can bring some nice dividends.
