Introduction
This game is probably the one I enjoy most right now, because it’s fun to play – the premise is goofy and the graphics are well done. The space theme also reminds me of Ziggy Stardust, so I play David Bowie while I’m playing the game.
Gameplay
You play Ruff Ruffman, a remarkably intelligent dog experimenting with a space simulation. In the game, you fly about in space looking for planets. You are given a certain number of PICKUPS to find within a time limit.
Pickups (Plants and Bonuses)
- Speed bonus – this looks like a floating blue engine, worth 10 points.
- Health bonus – this is a floating blue wrench, worth 10 points.
- Chinese food – a random bag of Chinese takeout(?!?) worth 50 points.
Tips
Some planets are worth more than others:
- Gold one (with rings) = 25 points
- Green one = 10 points
- Purple one = 5 points
- Orange one = 4 points
- Blue one = 2 points
Playing Space
When I first began playing this, I thought there were only six spaces in which to search for planets. It turns out that there are eight. The extra two are below the bottom middle one in the six.
Obstacles
Try not to hit meteors or cats in space helmets. They have glowing red edges, so they are easily recognizable. Plus it is pretty difficult to mistake a cat for a planet.
Good luck and enjoy this wacky game! – Arwen_undomiel1
