Omelette Defender Guide by Gemma Louise

Omelette Defender can be a tricky game when you first play it, as I found out. What with all the weapon changing to suit your needs, charging Tonu’s running straight for you – ack! – a time limit, and a giant Omelette to defend, it is likely that things will get… interesting as you play. There are many ways to play this game, but the method (that I personally use) seems to work pretty well 🙂

Method

The aim of the game is to keep the level score at 100 at all times. Seems pretty easy, eh? Well not really! Various hungry Neopets have come to get a bite out of your lunch, and you – Shuggu the Tyrannian Shoyru – has to stop that at all costs. So, as soon as you start, stay still. I know it sounds stupid, but stay still until you actually NEED to go anywhere to get anything. When I started running around, thinking I was doing the right thing, I wasn’t – I didn’t have a clue what I was doing, and I soon found out that I was running the wrong way, away from the weapons I needed! So if you stay still until you see a NeoPet going for the Omelette, think clearly and run straight towards the appropriate weapon. Before you actually play, your going to have to memorize what weapon is needed to “defeat” each hungry NeoPet. Remember, the aim of the game is to stop all Neopets in their tracks before they tuck into your tasty Omelette.

Weapons

To pick up a weapon, just “run” over it, then shoot/hit the right NeoPet. Their are three types of weapon – a Wooden Catapult, Negg Launcher, and an Elephante-B-Gone. You need to pick the right weapon for the right NeoPet.

To defeat a Skeith, you’re going to need the Wooden Catapult. On the first level, your quite likely to just get Skeiths going for the Omelette, know where the correct weapon is, and go for it when the time is right. To defeat a Grarrl, you need a Negg Launcher. When you’ve got this weapon, its pretty hard to fire it in the right direction… lol, or maybe that’s just me 🙂 The Grarrls are *really* fast, so always try to stop them first before hitting the other, more slower Neopets. And finally, to stop Elephante’s from getting your grub, spray them with Elephante-B-Gone. This can be tricky – they are finished quickly if you spray them head on, but if you spray them on the side they don’t die, so be careful! Oh and then there’s the Tonu’s… yeah, the annoying ones. Just when your doing well, a Tonu runs along at lightening speed, bashes into you and its “Game Over!” Boo! 😛 Basically, when you see a Tonu out the corner of your eye, just run – run AWAY from it – not into it like I did once, lol – then hope for the best. Sometimes its just too hard to run away, as they hit you before you know it.

So basically…

– Try and hit the Grarrl’s first, as they are the fastest at getting to the Omelette
– Spray Elepante’s head on – anywhere else and they wont die (well, that’s what I’ve found out anyway)
– Avoid Tonu’s at all costs!!!

As the levels progress, more Neopets come at once, obviously making it harder for you, and the time limit gets longer, so you really have your work cut out for you. If you pick up the wrong weapon, hurry over and get the right one! 🙂 But what happens if someone gets to the Omelette and you just can’t stop them? Don’t worry; any level score in the 90’s is still worth having, just get rid of them a.s.a.p and you’re well on your way to victory. If this guide doesn’t work for you then pah… it works for me 😉 Well, I guess that’s all I’ve got to say, so bye 🙂 – tifa58@hotmail.com
