How to Earn Fast Neopoints Without Playing Games by Bluedolphingurl111

Welcome! I bet you’re looking at this guide because of the keywords, “WITHOUT PLAYING GAMES”. Don’t lie, I know those games drive you crazy sometimes. I got bored of playing the same old games, and earning the same old amount of neopoints. It was tedious, and not very interesting. So I started thinking, There’s got to be a better and less boring way of earning np quickly! Soon after that, I found the idea of RESTOCKING. (Or RSing, as it’s more commonly known ^^). Now before you leave, I just have to say that this is NOT a restocking guide. So bear with me.

Anyways, restocking didn’t work out too well for me, because you have to be pretty lucky to hit the refresh button just as the shop you’re at restocks. It all has to do with the new system that Neopets is using (In the old system, each shop had a different time they restocked at). If you’re like me, you end up making very small profits, and missing a lot of items you could’ve made a larger profit on. Plus, it takes time learning which items you should buy at a shop, and which items you lose money on. Restocking also doesn’t work for people with slow connection. I soon found it frustrating for me and it was pretty boring waiting around for eight minutes, usually more, staring at an empty shop. Does this sound like you? Well if it does, then today is you’re lucky day! (Drumroll please)

You’re going to learn how to be a RESELLER! If you’re already a reseller, or you’ve already tried your hand at reselling, then you can leave now. xD If you don’t know what a reseller is, keep reading.

Being a reseller is self-explanatory. It basically means buying discounted items and reselling them at a higher price. Kinda like restocking, only you don’t buy items from a shop. To be a reseller, all you have to do is know how to search up an item in the Trading Post (the TP) or the Shop Wiz (SW). So, interested? Then head on over to the boards, and click on the Trading/Auctions board. Now you’re probably thinking, Woah, that is a lot of boards. Which one do I click on? What do I do? What should I buy? First things first, you should probably have over 100k (100,000 NP) either in the bank, or on hand. If you don’t, I suggest you make the NP, and then come back to this guide. Then, look at the boards. Most boards probably say something like, “Buying discounted items with __ NP!” or “Selling thisitem&thisitem!” or they have a lot of abbreviations in the board that you don’t know what they stand for. Here’s a quick definition of all the abbreviations you’re likely to see on the boards:

Abbreviations You Are Likely To Find On Trading/Auction Boards

ETS = Easy To Sell items. This includes things like, codestones, faeries, dubloons, maps, stuff that sells quickly.
HTS = Hard To Sell items. This includes things like, battledome items, TCGs, and a lot of random stuff people have never heard of.
HB = Haggle Back. Basically it means that somebody wants you to haggle back on prices. Duh. xD
NTY = No Thank You. You’re going to see this one a lot. If someone says Nty, they don’t want your item.
10k firm = Or whatever amount of NP it is. It means that this person is not willing to sell the item for over (or under) 10k.
MP = It could be Morphing Potion or My Price. Both self-explanatory.
TP = Trading Post or Transmogrification Potion.
SW = Shop Wizard.

That’s basically what you’ll find on these boards. Now, onto the fun stuff. Click on one of the boards (it should have a lot of posts) that says something like, “Buying Petpets, PBs, ETS with 2mil.!” Doesn’t have to be exact. Then scroll down and look at what people are selling. Usually, the items people are selling are in this format:

Item Name Here
The Item Rarity (optional)
TP: Trading Post Price
SW: Shop Wizard Price (optional, may not be any of this item on SW)
MP: The Price They’re Selling It For
Haggle: Yes or No.

An example is:

Starry Droolik
TP: 120k
SW: none
MP: 99k
Haggle: Yes.

Simple. If you see an item that is heavily discounted, neomail the owner (or post on their board) and offer for it. Always try to buy an item as low as someone will sell it for. If you do, you’ll make a much higher profit. (=

So say you want to buy a Starry Droolik, because the owner sounds like he or she desperately needs to get rid of it. Neomail the owner (or post on their board) and offer around maybe 80k. About 40k less then TP, or more. If they accept that, you’ll probably make around a 10k+ profit. Or they might just say, nty. Tough luck then. Most likely, the owner will ask for 95k and say HB. So haggle back for around 85k. And so back and forth it goes. If you feel uncomfortable offering that amount of NP the person is asking for, just say “Nty” and leave. Easy as that.

So say you do get this Starry Droolik for 85k. Now it’s your turn to go on these, “Buying Petpets with 500k pure!” boards or whatever and advertise the Starry Droolik. Read the first post, and you should post in normal format to make it look nicer. Make sure you don’t sell the Droolik (or whatever item you bought) for less then what you bought it for. Always try to sell it for more NP. But if you can’t get a better offer then the same price you bought the item for, take the offer. At least you won’t lose any money. xDD But most likely, someone will buy this Starry Droolik for 90k-95k. You’ll make a 15k profit at most, and that’s pretty good. Plus, it probably takes half the time to buy + sell this item then to play games for two hours and earn this much.

In the beginning of being a reseller, try to buy ETS items, because those items will sell quickly and you’ll be rolling in dough. But if you can’t help it and you want to buy a HTS, make sure you buy it when it’s heavily discounted, which means 50% off or more.

Remember, a lot of people on the Trading/Auction boards are also resellers. So try to sell your items to someone that’s not a reseller, which is pretty rare.

A List Of Easy To Sell Items

Codestones
Faeries
Books
Some petpets
Petpet Paint Brushes
Paint Brushes
Morphing Potions
Maps (any kind)
Dubloons
Transmogrification Potions

That basically sums it up. And there’s a huge range of HTS items, so I’m not going to bother trying to list those. xD

Random, Helpful Reselling Tips

Keep in mind that if you see the same person trying to sell the same item on a ton of different boards, don’t buy that item. Chances are, it will be hard to sell for you too. Some items are listed as ETS, but they end up being a real pain in the neck and you end up selling the item for half as much as you paid.

Always check the trading post and/or the shop wiz before buying an item. Somebody may be selling the item for less then what the person wants.

If items are in the 100k range, try to buy them for about half off, or 60%-75% off. If an item sells for 130k on TP, buying the item for 100k is a pretty fair offer.

Usually, if you don’t haggle, then there is no deal. So make sure that you’re willing to haggle on prices.

Buyable Unbuyables make a pretty great profit too. ^^
