Right now (November 2006), Gotchi Crowd Patrol is one of the most popular games on Neopets – probably because you can earn tons of Neopoints from it, very easily!
The concept is pretty easy to grasp: there’s a little guy called Mametchi, and it’s up to you to find him and click on three times before time runs out. Every time you play, you’ll be presented with three scenes in which Mametchi is hidden. The scenes remain the same, but Mametchi’s location changes. The trick is to memorize the locations where Mametchi usually hides so that you can click on him quickly and earn more points. However, be careful to ONLY click on Mametchi. He is cream colored with a very distinguishing navy blue hat (I think it’s a hat, anyway, unless it’s part of his head). There are some similar-looking characters added in to throw you off, but once you learn what Mametchi looks like, it’s pretty easy to spot him. If you click on anything else, you’ll be given a “strike” – three strikes and it’s game over. Strikes will also deduct seconds from your time. Failing to find Mametchi within the time limit will also automatically end your game, regardless of which scene you are on.
Mametchi’s body is almost always obscured somehow. He will appear behind trees, buildings, and other characters. Look for Mametchi’s head.
Scene 1: This is a park scene. Look near the back of the park and see if he is peeking out at you from behind the larger trees. Also check the smaller trees near the front and middle of the picture. To the left of the scene is a large apple – sometimes Mametchi will hide here. Also check near the large blue character who is drinking through a straw. Mametchi also appears frequently to the right of the hot springs in the tree stumps in the right half of the picture.
Scene 2: A city scene, and, in my opinion, the most difficult of the three. Check behind the buildings and near the giant red flower at the front of the scene. He may also hide behind vehicles or other inhabitants of the town.
Scene 3: A large roundabout that looks like the center of town, with a park to the left. Check the windows/doors of the buildings, specifically the window of the pink bookstore in the upper left corner. Look behind and around the white building in the middle, and in the fence that surrounds it. Mametchi may also appear behind the two shrubs near the right of the scene, or near the seats or small red and white houses in the park.
If you find Mametchi quickly, you may be able to obtain almost 900 points per play. Make sure you take advantage of this game while it’s still here! – Minihousemouse
