What the game is: Choose your favorite Faerie or Faerie Petpet, and fly around (using your arrow keys) avoiding collision with your smoke trail, and your opponents smoke trail.

Like Meerca Chase, Faerie Cloud Racers is a game meant for speedy fingers. In fact, this game is a lot like Meerca Chase. You Just dont collect anything, your tail doesnt follow you, and there is another player on the screen.

This is also a game where there isnt much strategy involved, you just have to gain skill for the game. However, many people do develop techniques for the game. Some like to surround their opponent and enclose them in a small box, others like to just fly around randomly and see how long they can last. I like to try to reserve the top or bottom half of the screen so that I have plenty of safe room to fly around in. Some people say that they have a lucky character they play as, but actually, I dont think that one player is different from any others. What character you choose really does not effect your game.

There are 3 modes to play this game on. The first is the extremely-slow ‘Easy Mode.’ This mode is boring, and is a waste of time. It is extremely easy, so it isnt fun. Also, you dont get any neopoints from it. The second is ‘Medium Mode.’ The speed is pretty moderate, and after some practice, anybody can master the game on medium mode. If you arent that great at games, you can probably still get 300ish neopoints from the game, and if you are really good, you can get 500 neopoints while still on medium difficulty. Last, there is ‘Hard Mode.’ Phew. Hard mode is very challenging, and is the only way to get a high score in the game, because it is the only difficulty you can get over 600 points from. This mode goes extremely fast, and I wouldnt play this mode unless you have mastered the medium difficulty. You need to be able to turn very quickly, so that is definitely a thing to practice. The key to hard mode is making sure you have a large area to fly around in without worrying about your opponent, and make sure you can turn very quickly.

If you really want to earn some neopoints, there is an awesome technique to use, but only works if the computer decides to follow along. I call this the ‘Spiral Technique,’ for you and the opponent create a cool looking spiral. However, this is mainly for professionals, because it is quite hard to pull off.

To complete this, you need to fly in a spiral formation, flying toward the center. Make sure you leave space for your outside edge, that way your opponent can fly right next to you. If you keep a space on your very edge, they can’t fly up, down, or backward. They can only follow your exact path. So, how many points you end up with depends on how many layers you can make on your spiral, and how many time it follows you. One cool thing is that if the computer does follow you into the spiral, it wont lose unless you cut them off. The opponent will keep flying around into the spiral and wont crash until you fly next to your own edge, leaving a ending spot for your opponent. Crash!

Id also like to point out that the music in this game gets extremely annoying and agitating, and by going to ‘options’ on the main screen, you can turn the sound off. I highly recommend this, as the noise really distracts you while in play.

Since the ‘retry’ button pops up the second you lose, it is easy to get addicted and play this game over and over. It is also fun to watch the game insult when you lose, saying things such as ‘Stick to Kiko Match’ and ‘You are playing Easy Mode, Arent You?’ It is fun, and keeps your brain going, since you have to have complete attention on the screen while playing the game. I wouldnt play this game for neopoints unless you are very bored with other games, since there are a lot of other games that poor out way more neopoints then this game. Just make up your own techniques, and work on your finger movement on the arrows, and you can master this game in no time. – The Wonder Weezel
