Cocoa Puffs: Amazing Chase Guide by DireBloodLines

A guide to getting your Cocoa Puff craze on (cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs)

This is your basic arcade style cocoa puff version of packman. With a few changes in the look and only one major change in the game play this game is exactly like the original. This one simple change in the game play is the key to getting an easy 3k in about fifteen minutes. The fact that if you collect 78 regular cocoa puffs you will go cuckoo.

Im splitting this guide into two parts. The first is the tips which you should always keep in mind. The second is the key to getting to the 4th stage and getting those neopoints.

Tip 1: there ate two kinds of cocoa puffs. Ones that will make you go cuckoo (the cuckoo puffs) and the ones that fill up your cuckoo meter. Each puff is worth one point and if you collect the cuckoo puff it will reset your cuckoo meter.

Tip 2: YOU ARE NOT INVINCABLE!!! If you tag (eat) a grarrl it will reset from its ghost mode and CAN KILL YOU.

Tip 3: watch where the Grarrls are at all times. This may seem to be a bit hard. But if you glance at them while you are moving down a pathway before you need to turn it is rather easy. Make sure you dont move into an ally that will get u cornered!

Tip 4: all u need to do is tap the direction you wish to go and as soon as sonny has an open pathway he will go that way. This is very useful to keep in mind when you are being chased by a grarrl into an area with a lot of twists and turns.

Ok now that I have the tips out of the way time for the actual game play. Since you wont have any time to read this while you play the game, go over these a few times.

#1: STAY AWAY FROM THE CUCKOO PUFFS! These are the ones that instantly fill up your cuckoo meter. Gather the regular cocoa puffs until you fill up your meter one time. Youll need to collect 78 regular cocoa puffs in order to do this. Im not sure if it changes as the levels go higher but the first stage is the hardest to do this anyway. The easiest way is to choose a pathway that is full of cocoa puffs (besides the cuckoo puffs) and leads you away from the Grarrls. It might just be me but I find it a lot easier to dodge the Grarrls as the levels go higher.

#2: DO NOT EAT THE Grarrls!!! As much as you would like to pay them back for anything they may have done in Pterattack this will only make things more confusing. Since you dont get any points for eating the Grarrls. Having two Grarrls that can kill you and two that cant, will only make sweat. Also they will sometimes have a hard time finding their way back to the center and will be running around unghost but will not be able to hurt you.

#2.5: so why even bother getting cuckoo mode if youre not going to eat the Grarrls? Its a failsafe. Just incase u have no other choice but to eat them its better that then dieing. I only stated that you should eat the Grarrls since that isnt your main focus of the game. If you gained points eating them would be worth it. But since you dont its much easier to just ignore them all together once you reach cuckoo mode. Since you will most likely stay like that until you finish that level.

#3: divide the map into four sections. Upper left (1) upper right (2) lower right (3) and lower left (4). Each section will have its own cuckoo puff. On most of the maps you will end up going in a clockwise circle as you try for cuckoo mode without getting the cuckoo puff. Once u have gone cuckoo collect all of the cocoa puffs in a particular section then grab your cuckoo puff and head to the next one. You want to try and be collecting cocoa puffs as much as you can. Avoid going down paths that have no cocoa puffs if there is one right next to it full of them. The final thing you need to be careful of is the Grarrls. As soon as they start flashing head straight for a cuckoo puff. This flashing means they will be able to hurt you again.

As with everything else you wont become perfect at it as soon as you start playing this game. Practice makes perfect so try and try again. Good luck, and go cuckoo for cocoa puffs.
