Illusen by cjcooliogurl

Illusen. Sure shes poked a hole in our wallets. A hole that keeps getting bigger and bigger. But now that her quests are gone what’s going to happen to her? To her quests? Here’s my theory.

Well, shes just going to disappear why not? Easy. Illusen isn’t going to disappear. Shes a faerie. A living faerie (OK if you’re confused just remember that this is Neopets. Play along.) So, now you’re thinking, Well, if you’re so smart, whats going to happen to her?

Its really quite simple. Not including Meridell, there are nine worlds. Why doesn’t she go to one of those places, rebuild her Glade, and live happily ever after again?? Sounds good to me. But which one will she choose?? If you think about it, its a hard choice. Where should I go? Here’s where and where not she should take her quests to and (what I think) a pretty good explanation of it

To Zap or Not to Zap? That is the Question by DragonDoodies

New players always seem to have one of two ambitions- the first, to get that elusive paintbrush, the one they keep on saving and saving for, but still dont have enough money. The other ambition is to get the entire lab map together, and gain access to the Secret Laboratory. Both of these options have good and bad points to them. If this is a question youve been yourself debating, then read on, dear friend.

The most common paintbrush new players seem to crave is the Baby Paintbrush. I have no idea why they want it so bad. I dont want one. But Ill tell you this- it costs about 600,000 NP. So you scrimp, and save, and play games for days, and weeks, and months until youve earned 600,000 NP. You proudly go to the Trading Post, and see someone selling that Paint Brush youve always wanted. You offer 600,000 NP, and a few hours later, the guy logs on, accepts your offer, and you have it! You rush to the rainbow pool, and paint your pet. Voila! Your pet looks different! Well. That was fun. But eventually you get bored of how your pet looks again. If only you hadnt blown all your money, because now you dont have enough to paint him again. Shucks.

Outside of the US Grumbles by Maelianitha

Well how about this. I think Neopets is unfair to a lot of people outside of the US! Like me. I’m from New Zealand.

First thing. A lot of those sponsor deals and those “Get 1,000 NP a day!” things are worthless. All of them are “sign up with our sponsor” and such while practically every single one of them I’ve seen have ONLY been for US residents. Granted, it’s not a big amount of NP but it still seems very excluding.

Timing for things doesn’t always seem too bad since things are spread out throughout the day/night. but one of the other things that annoys me is the merchandise. I’ve seen some really cute things in the merchandise, that I’d love to get my hands on.. Things in the wish list – but none of those items are available here. In fact there seems to be rather little of Neopets available here. I don’t know if that will eventually change but I saw some items that are listed ‘limited edition’ or whatever – does that mean they’ll not be available here because their stock all went to the US? I don’t know.

What’s the Deal With Clothes by Suzii

So far, the only use I found for them was as a quest item for the fire faerie. But honestly what do we do with them instead of quests?

Things you can’t do:

-Sell them for a lot of np
-WEAR them
-Play with them
-Eat them

Things you can do:
-Use them for quests
-Make a gallery
-Maybe, one day the neopets will get to wear them or they’ll magically become real and come out of out computers and we can wear them!

And that’s pretty much for clothes.

So you decide:

Waste of np

or

Something useful

Moral: Suzii thinks clothes on neopets is pointless – Suzii

The Darker Side of Neopia by ChromeFox

*** The users and events I mention in this article are all factual. Some of this may seem strange and out-of-the-ordinary, and all of it was. What I’ve told here is just a slice of the cake, but it is Neopets history, and probably one of the most interesting chapters in it. Enjoy. ***

I guess you could say the story began with Sentient. He was probably 16 or 17 at the time he created the very first cheat program for Neopets, Hunter Seeker, which simply played Kacheek Seek (or Badeek Seek as it was called back then) automatically. Since at the time, that was the most popular and profitable game, Hunter Seeker became an instant hit.
