Neopets: Not as Good as You Might Think

Neopets often does not listen to what their users want, and this is the second reason most people leave (first is being frozen). Neopets has been known to freeze for no reason, or a generic reason with little to no explanation.

It takes most users over a year to get their account back when frozen, if they even get a response, which 95% of the time they do not. Any item that actually does something worth while costs so much money that you would have to save up for several months to get it, which by that time, either the item is no longer available, or no longer has the desired effect.

MyEPB Bookstore, Suntec City (Singapore) Experience by Sylvia

Neopets along with two of it’s artists went to myEPB Bookstore in Suntec City (Singapore)! There, they were met by thousands of Neopets enthusiasts and Sylvia was kind enough to scan a picture sketched for her by the artist Anthony to add on to Pink Poogle Toy.

Summary of the Day

I was there (8 AM) until the time the Neopets people left (10:45 PM).

8 AM: The queue started at 7 AM this morning and there are already about 200 – 300 Neopets fans at the entrance. Neopets stickers were given out an hour later and the stickers that they gave were NOT in production any more! Some people who were tired left after the received the stickers.

Neopets: How Much is Too Much? by Shoyru_Lover

The eternal question no doubt (actually not really, but it makes good conversation!!). How much Neopets is too much and is it really good for you?

I once chatted with a lovely girl called Kaorichan and, after a while, the topic of “How much time do you spend on Neopets” popped up. After careful prodding and prying, Kaorichan mentioned once speaking to a man who told her he spent on average about 13 hours a day on it. The response, “Hello! Wake up, have a shave and brush your teeth!” seemed to be on both our minds.

While the example above is an example of someone who clearly spends too much time on Neopets to the point where it is unhealthy, I’ve witnessed some people who are absolute fanatics about the game to the point that it scares me, even more than Cruella Devil on 101 Dalmatians (she did a real good job of terrifying me).

Dung in a Neopian World by diva_brat

You do have a point! There really IS a lot of asparagus floating around the place! Well, not literately floating, no wait, Faerie Asparagus… yeah… and apparently, I’m also a fan of Asparachucks! Anyways, I’ve also noticed that there’s a good deal of dung related items. Maybe your next article should be about dung, why it seems so popular (after all, there’s an avatar for dung! And furniture! (speaking of which, where’d you get the idea of Asparafurniture?) and where it fits into society… think about it. – gameboy42690

Well gameboy42690, I did think about it! And that’s why this whole column is dedicated solely to (drum roll here) DUN DUN DUNG! (make that whole mystery movie dun dun DUN noise there.) Except for the small part about Asparagus! In reply to how I got the idea for Asparafurniture, well I have a good imagination! Actually all it took was the fact that there’s dung furniture, cloud furniture, all kinds of strange furniture, so why shouldn’t there be Asparafurniture? I wish someone high up on TNT would read this and create some! I think that would be awesome! And I’m sure a ton of you fellow Neopians out there agree w/me on this! Also recently I’ve seen references to something called Aspararose, it’s been around some of the misc. boards and chats, so my question to my, likely small public, is have you ever seen this item? Does it really exist? I’ve searched Neopets for it, but if it does exist it’s not showing up! Fill me in on this!
