Bilge Dice Guide by Kevin Kruse

Got the Bilge Dice blues? I’ve got the cure!

Bilge Dice can be one of the more frustrating games in Neopia, it doesn’t have to be. The chances of winning can be increased by mastering this game. I have won many games but only 25% of them. To play this game you must be very patient and be willing to spend a lot of time on it.

Tips

1. Try listening to some good music while you play, it helps to keep you focused.

2. Never start out by anteing a high amount of np, win a little first then gamble your winnings. Avoiding debt early is key for it can cost frustration and hours just trying to get back to 0 np.

3. If you are having a complete unlucky streak, get into debt and just can’t seem to win a game… just stick with it and eventually you will win it back even if it takes a few hours 🙁

4. As you get more wins you will be able to ante higher amounts like 100, 200, 500, and 1000! I got higher ante amounts the first day I played bilge dice since it took so many wins to just win 5000. Just stay with it and eventually it will be easier to win 5000 np a day even faster!

5. If you are trying to get the avatars it helps if you focus on getting the 5000 np limit each day and then try to focus on getting the avatars on free play. This makes it a lot easier and relaxing since you got nothing to lost on free play.

Gameplay

You will win the amount you ante times 4. If you ante 100 and win you will receive 400 np.

When you have won: Your next available ante is:
0 times 50 NP
10 times 100 NP
30 times 200 NP
50 times 500 NP
150 times 1000 NP

Always try to get a 1 and a 4 first! Say you rolled the following: 1, 6, 6, 6, 5, 5. You may be tempted to take the 1 and all the 6’s and 5’s but just keep the 1 and roll the rest. Until you get both 1 and 4 all those other numbers don’t mean a single thing! After you get the necessary 1 and 4 to qualify then focus on getting 6’s and 5’s or highest available. You mainly want 6’s but you can’t be too picky. Also watch your opponents throughout the whole game! Say the opponent in the lead is finished with a final score of 18 and you have 16 with a 3 left. KEEP that 3 and win, there’s no sense of gambling the win. A win is a win, even if its by one point. If they are on they’re last roll with say a 24 but only one of the two needed qualifiers and you have a lesser score don’t worry about trying to beat their score or match it, just keep what ever you need for a decent score and 5 out of 6 times they won’t get that last qualifier for their score to matter!

What we’ve learned

1. Never ante a high amount of np to start with, not until you have some winnings to gamble with (this really only goes for when you have higher ante options like 500 and 1000).

2. Try to focus on getting the avatars on free play once you have already won the 5k limit.

3. Don’t keep anything else besides your 1 and 4 needed to qualify until you get them.

4. Watch your opponents scores every turn, you only need beat their score!

5. Don’t get frustrated, you can NEVER master this game of luck! – Kevin Kruse
