The Neopets School Community by Flashpath77

So, here begins an article about Neopets and school. In case you haven’t noticed, some people play Neopets at… SCHOOL! WOW! (ok, ok, I’ll stop)

First of all, you guys (and girls) have got to get together and lay down some ground rules. Here are the ones for our school. 1. If you forget to log out, too bad. 2. If you want a battledome challenge, then you have to tell that person (in person) first. 3. If a n00b wants help, give it to them, unless they’re starting to get annoying.

All right, so we have ground rules. Not that they’re unchangeable. Now, lets say a new guy (or girl) show up in the computer lab (or wherever) and they see some people playing neopets and want to sign up. In our school, we send someone (usually me) to go over and help him (or her) with all the basics. After they’ve signed up, we give them a quick tutorial, and tell them to ask for help if they need it.

OK, so you’re playing Neopets when the teacher says “time to go!” and you forget to log out. WHAT DO YOU DO? well, read this article: http://www.neopets.com/newnt/index.phtml?section=5142&week=39 or, in short, as soon as you can, change your p@$$word. This will log out any logged in computers.

Now, lets say a big shot come in flanked by his two guards and… blah blah blah, you get the picture. He (she) walk over and says “Oh, you’re playing Ne-o-pets” (sarcastically of course) “that’s stupid” (the line you love to hate) This is what we do. Ignore them, or if push come to shove, tell Michael that someone’s making fun of Neopets. (Michael is an eighth grader with some serious muscle). Now, your school’s Neopets community might not have a Michael-type person, but you can always ignore them (hint, unless they’re with girls, big shots don’t have a very long attention span)

Finally, the benefits. Our school has these old powermacs that have slow processors, so we use them to play Meerca Chase secret level, Carnival of Terror, Evil fuzzles, and other games that are reflex testing. We always get great scores on those.

So, in the end, a school Neopets community isn’t that bad. Just remember to log out! – Flashpath77
