Jelly Blobs of Doom Guide by Shoyru_Lover

They should really call this game the attack of the jelly blobs, for not only are they abnormally huge, they have a liking to sucking you into their gelatin bodies and carrying you for a ride. In a jelly world where everything is made of jelly, this world is a dog-eat-dog world. Playing a Chomby made of jelly, the only way to survive is to eat smaller jellies. Doing so will make you grow larger and hence, increase upwards in the food chain – enabling you to eat even larger jellies!

Now I must admit, I am rather jealous, because I love jelly (except for the incident in grade 2 where I ate too much jelly and it threw me off jelly for two years, but I digress), however, there is a certain satisfaction one can gain from watching his/her Chomby grow from all that jelly guzzling.

If we look here, we see a size 622 Chomby, i.e. the Chomby size one will have when they reach 622 points. I’ve labeled the jellies with which ones are eatable and which ones will eat you. Note that reaching this size takes a considerable time, as you begin your jelly life as a microscopic organism. As with most games, the longer you play, the easier it will be able to gain points later on – i.e. you need points to make even more points. That said, as you progress through the game, the amount of small jellies will decrease and you’ll find yourself spending a considerable time dodging those nasty big jellies. Sit down and be prepared for a long haul if you want a trophy out of this game. Difficulty wise, this game is incredibly easy. This is more of a question of, “Can I be bothered?” Of course you can!

The controls in this game do not respond automatically to your touch. The Chomby will slide his way to and fro (after all, jelly world is bouncy) and slide before changing directions (similar to the game Nimmo’s Pond). As I stated before, the majority of the game is spent dodging larger jellies, and the best place to do this is in the center of the game. This is for many reasons. Mainly, being in the center allows you thinking time. Race along the edge and you’ll find that you won’t have enough time to dodge the emerging jellies. In addition, the center allows for optimal adjusting whether it be left, right, up or down.

Whoever made up the saying, “For the want of a horse, the man lost his kingdom,” deserves a medal, for not only does this mantra ring true in life, it also resonantly resounds throughout this game. Don’t race for jellies that float around the edge. You’ll be sucked up faster than you can say, “Yummmm, jellllly.” If possible, position yourself in an area where the jelly will come to you, preferably in the center. If you are in doubt whether a jelly is too big for you, then don’t get it. Simple 🙂

Let me know if you win a trophy! Good luck and happy Neopetting! – Shoyru_Lover
