Let me start this guide off with one thing: I am not, nor do I claim to be, the supreme master of this game. I haven’t gotten a trophy for it, nor have I even gotten on the top 200 list for it, though I have been close. This guide is not for the purposes of getting a trophy. It’s just for being able to get 1,000 neopoints from this game. This guide also assumes you know how to play the game. OK, now that that’s clear, let’s get started.
Item 1: Since only two Fuzzles will ever be on the screen at one time, don’t bother with stun or smart bombs. Unless you really suck, they’re a waste of money.
Item 2: Don’t pay for extra hull past 50 until you have 20 shields. Since a shield gives you 20 points, and hull gives you 10, the only purpose for hull is if you run out of shields, which is unlikely, or if you forget to put one up.
Item 3: Unless they’re going to hit you before you can get the Fuzzles, save mines for last. Two new Fuzzles won’t come on the screen until you kill the two already there. Also, each level only gives you a limited amount of time. So if you kill the mine first, you won’t get the two new Fuzzles out any faster.
Item 4: Click on the multiplier when it reaches 10X3. As far as I know, three is the highest multiplier you get, and it starts at 10. If you click before 10, you get an X2 bonus. If you click it after, you lose hits counting to the X3 multiplier and may not get a last 10X3 before you end the level.
Item 5: When the distance meter in the top left turns to “Approaching”, unless you have an 8X2 multiplier, start clicking the multiplier when you get to 2X2. Unless you have an 8X2, or, near the end, a 6X2 multiplier, the chances of getting a 10X3 are zero.
Item 6: Repair droids are good to have. Instead of having to buy new hull plating, you only have to pay once, and they do it automatically. The more you have, the faster they repair.
Item 7: You only have eight levels to get past 1,000 points. If you are trying for a trophy, remember: Get every point you can.
Item 8: Near the end, when the Fuzzles come very fast, unless you have spare time, ignore the mines. Let your shields take care of them. It’s either the mines or the Fuzzles, and the mines do less damage and give less points.
Item 9: Another item not to bother with is the radar. Since, unlike the last version of Evil Fuzzles, in this game, the Fuzzles don’t pop out of nowhere from the sides, and you don’t use the keys to look left and right. The radar just shows what side the Fuzzles are coming from, and unless you don’t have eyes, you can see that for yourself. (No offense to all you eye-less people.)
Item 10: If you don’t get the new gun every level, you will have to click two or more times to kill the Fuzzles in the new level, except for the highest-level Fuzzles, who need double clicking no matter what.
Item 11: All objects on the screen are on top of or below each other. The Fuzzles are on top, then the mines, and lastly the multiplier. Don’t get mad if you try to click the multiplier and get a mine or a Fuzzle. It happens.
Item 12: If you can buy two guns in one level, do it. This insures that if you mess up the next level, you won’t have to double click because you already have that level’s gun.
Item 13: Just because you have to hit it twice to kill it doesn’t mean you get two hits for doing it. You only get one hit per Fuzzle.
Item 14: It may seem obvious, but the higher the level, the more damage the Fuzzles do.
Item 15: Mines count for hits, but they don’t count for the multiplier. Also, they don’t miss anymore like they did in the last game.
Item List: A list of the items you can buy, their cost, and their in-game description. If I had anything to say about it, it’s up there.
- Hull: 10 virtucreds. Add 10 points to your hull integrity.
- Shields: 10 virtucreds. Put an extra cover worth 20 hull integrity points.
- Droid repair: 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200 virtucreds. If there are more droids than that, I haven’t gotten them. Droids constantly repair your hull integrity.
- Radar: 25 virtucreds. Radar warns you of mutants that come from the side.
- Mega Gun: 50, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200.
- Smart Bomb: Clear the screen of Evil Fuzzles with one shot.
- Stun Bomb: Stuns enemy Fuzzles for a short length of time.
Fuzzles List: A list of the Fuzzles’ colors and the level they appear in. Also, the Fuzzles come in varying shades of the colors mentioned.
- Level 1: Red Fuzzles.
- Level 2: Yellow and Red Fuzzles.
- Level 3: Green and Yellow Fuzzles.
- Level 4: Brown and Green Fuzzles.
- Level 5: White/Light Blue Fuzzles and Brown Fuzzles.
- Level 6: Purple and White/Light Blue Fuzzles.
- Level 7: Grey and Purple Fuzzles. Watch out on this one, the purples take one shot, the greys take two, unless you missed a gun somewhere. Look before you shoot!
- Level 8: Grey Fuzzles. These still take two shots.
I hope this guide helps make Evil Fuzzles from Beyond the Stars a daily game of yours. Adios. – Joseph Martin
