Extreme Herder Guide by Wen Jinhang

Extreme Herder is a game worth playing, regardless of whether you are a newbie or an old hand at Neopets; it not only gives you lots of neopoints, but it is a game which does not require any particular skill or talent to excel at. To play the game, you have to move a blue Kacheek named Samrin around the screen using your arrow keys to get his petpets to safety before Balthazar gets to them and eats them. You have three lives, and you lose one of them when either Samrin or a petpet gets eaten. I have played this game many a time, and have gradually gained experience at it. This game, if played with experience, can get you 1000 to 2500 neopoints every day. If you are playing Extreme Herder for the first time, this guide will soon enable you to become relatively efficient at the game.

If you have a neat, efficient modem, this can be a great game. Pick up the orange orbs and the snowflakes lying around only if they are near you, for if you go out of your way to get them, Balthazar will most likely get to the petpet you were trying to rescue and you will end up losing one or more lives. If you are faced with an impossible situation, in which Balthazar is steadily approaching one of your petpets near you, and you are loaded with another petpet. Now, if you roughly assume that you cannot get the petpet that you are currently stuck with into the paddock before Balthazar gulps up the petpet near you, make a dash for it. React as fast as you can straight into the face of Balthazar. If you are lucky, Balthazar will eat Samrin and not the petpet. This is of an advantage to you, considering that that particular level will be restarted, and Balthazar will return to the starting line. Therefore, the rest of the petpets will bear less risk of getting eaten by Balthazar, as he will be quite a distance away from them. If you had let the petpet get eaten instead of Samrin, you will not only lose points (points will not be awarded for eaten petpets), but also there will be a greater chance of the rest of your petpets to get eaten as Balthazar will simply and conveniently proceed to the nearest petpet instead of returning to the starting line to restart the level.

As you can only play Extreme Herder three times per day to earn neopoints, make you get a score of at least 100 before you send score, because if you get any lower than that, it will not be worth it. But if you are just a newbie and have never played the game before, set your target on 80 or 90 points before trying to reset your target. You can play some very effective preparation games for Extreme Herder, which improves your hand-eye co-ordination. Some of these games are Meerca Chase, Volcano Run and The Buzzer Game. Try these games some time; they not only earn you neopoints, they also help you at other flash games that require split-second responses. I recommend playing these games especially after you have exercised outdoors, since this help a lot with physical fitness, and the use of supplements also help with this,  go here to find more about this.

I hope that you have a better understanding of the game Extreme Herder; if you do not understand, I recommend you read the article again.
