The Grey Faerie is Faerie in Neopia which has had her wings removed, destroying all her use in magic. To date there is only one known Grey Faerie whose name was Baelia, although their may be more in hiding. As told in a Neopedia article, Baelia was stripped of her powers and imprisoned by a Dark Faerie named Jennumara, but freed by Tavi, a mountain climber who tricked the lock of her cage. It is said she would regain her powers when she received a new name.

Around the same time The Grey Faerie was released, an image of a Bottled Faerie with the Grey Faerie inside was found on the servers, making users believe it had something to do with Baelia and a planned on plot. Some say she will be instrumental in a future plot, and may even recover her name and her powers.

Colour

Users have the option of colouring their Neopet or Petpet Grey, which is a design similar to the Grey Faerie. Key traits of Grey Neopets include red and baggy eyes, weak body movements and looking sad even when happy. Unlike the Grey Faerie, Neopets who are coloured Grey do not lose their ability to use magic. As of December 2006, there are 36 different Neopets and 45 different Petpets which can be painted Grey.

Trivia

• There are no faeries other than the Grey Faerie who have white hair.
• Together with Taelia she is one of only two faeries with feathered wings (a few feathers can be seen sticking from her back).
• It was once believed Jennamura was The Darkest Faerie from the PS2 game Neopets: The Darkest Faerie, though The Neopets Team debunked this rumor in a Neopian Times editorial.
