Kanrik and his fellow thieves were tasked with finding a mysterious treasure by their leader Galem. When he found an adventurous Usul telling her tales of daring do, he made up a story that "his sister and his village" suffering a strange illness and needing a way to save them. They travelled to the Lost Desert together, where they entered an unknown tomb laden with traps. Hannah was then hit with a strange curse and was left for dead, while Kanrik and a couple of his comrades carried anything they could find; in this case, a coffin. Galem thought to use the creature inside the coffin to steal a treasure from deep under the ice of Terror Mountain. After reaching the Mountain, however, Masila coaxed the Kanrik into opening the coffin and using it to overthrow Galem. At first reluctant in betraying his leader, he went against his better judgement and released a creature from the coffin, the Bringer of Night. After a clash between the creature's army and his guild, Kanrik was banished from the guild. He was then knocked out with a poisonous liquid by Masila, and abandoned on Terror Mountain. | Kanrik and his fellow thieves were tasked with finding a mysterious treasure by their leader Galem. Kanrik is the only character to appear in the Battledome in two different forms. During the Hannah and the Ice Caves plot, he was one of the plot's boss characters and was simply called Kanrik. This boss version of Kanrik had an extremely high number of hit points and very powerful weapons. During the War for the Obelisk, Kanrik appeared as a high-level normal opponent under the name Kanrik, Master Thief. This version of Kanrik has a much lower number of hit points and a completely different set of weapons. This second version of Kanrik can still be fought at the Battleground of the Obelisk, where he fights on behalf of the Thieves Guild. | Kanrik is the only character to appear in the Battledome in two different forms.
