The Poogle (from poodle, a breed of dog) is a Limited Edition species of puppy-like Neopet that was introduced on July 14, 2000. Poogles have a cute and cuddly appearance but also razor-sharp teeth. They originally come from the north of Neopia. In general, Poogles are curious, playful, friendly, and eager to learn. They enjoy reading and racing - Poogle Races are held every fifteen minutes in Faerieland.
They are the only Neopet that can be painted MSP. When painted Halloween, they resemble Snowbeasts, and when painted Maraquan, they resembled hammerhead sharks. In the Neopets Trading Card Game, they are associated with the element of Water.
