Moehogs (a portmanteau of mohawk and hog) are warthog- or boar-like Neopets first released on 5 July 2000. They were initially a Limited Edition Neopet, but were made available for anyone to adopt after the Arrival of Virtupets plot on 29 August the same year, where a colony of Moehogs were found on the Space Station. They are originally from the mountainous regions of Neopia where they were bred as livestock, and used by Skeiths to carry loads for them.
Young Moehogs have snorting contests with each other to try and make the most noise and the biggest cloud of dust.
Moehogs have cloven hooves and tusks, and keep their hair in a mohawk. They are fast Neopets who are eager to help others. In the Neopets Trading Card Game, they are associated with the element of Dark.
