The Poogle is a Limited Edition species of puppy-like Neopet that was introduced on July 14, 2000. Poogles have a cute and cuddly appearance but also razor-sharp teeth. The originally come from the north of Neopia. In general, Poogles are curious, playful, friendly, and eager to learn. They enjoy reading and racing - Poogle Races are held ever fifteen minutes in Faerieland.

In the Neopets Trading Card Game, they are associated with the element of Water.

Battledome

In the Battledome, Poogles take 10% less damage from earth and fire attacks. They also have six species abilities:

• Poogle Jump - Attack: 2 - 3 x Air, 2 - 3 x Light; Defence: none; available from level 1;
• Poogle Roll - Attack: 2 x Earth; Defence: none; available from level 1;
• Poogle Bite - Attack: 1 - 2 x Physical; Defence: none; available from level 1;
• Poogle Shield - Attack: none; Defence: 2 - 8 x Light; available on Poogle Day only;
• Poogle Slide - Attack: 2 x Earth, 1 - 2 x Physical; Defence: none; available on Poogle Day only;
• Poogle Growl - Attack: 2 x Darkness; Defence: none; available on Poogle Day only;

There are also seventeen pieces of equipment that can only be used by a Poogle.
