Maraqua
After the whirlpool destroyed the original city, King Kelpbeard set about rebuilding something even more splendid, with a strong army to protect it from attackers. But, the pirates found out...
Old Maraqua
Was destroyed by a whirlpool on (need date), and has lain in its destroyed form ever since. With the discovery and open trade with New Maraqua, people have begun to re-enter the ruins, and even discovered an Underwater Fishing cave (which is very popular with collectors of items).
New Maraqua
Was attacked by Captain Scarblade when he learned there were survivors from his first attack.
Kreludor
Neopia's moon! This giant chunk of space rock is where Dr. Sloth originally found the Grundos, and some of them live there still. Kreludor is famous for its rare Kreludan metal, a mineral essential for construction of evil robots.
On Kreludor there is the Neocola machine,booktastic books, and a few other things. It is located at the top left hand corner of the explore map.
Meridell
A medieval land of knights, kings and magic from Neopia's past. Discovered by a group of unlikely adventurers. Encompasses the Kingdom of Meridell, Brightvale, and Darigan. Visit Meridell for great games (mostly involving vegetables), faerie quests, bullseye, frog kissing, puzzles and much more!
Ruled By King Skarl. Jeran is one of the leading defenders of the kingdom.
Darigan
A flying citadel which is ruled by Lord Darigan. Was once also ruled by Lord Kass.
Brightvale
Ruled by King Skarl's brother King Hagan.

Krawk Island
This small island off the southern coast of Mystery Island is inhabited by pirates. Visit Krawk Island for exciting games, buried treasure, a great restaurant, and a swashbuckling academy!
It contains:
The Golden Dubloon - A restarunt, pay using Dubloons and if you're lucky you may get to take some food back. (And sell it at obscene prices)
The Dubloon-o-Matic - Trade your one dubloon coins into bigger denominations
The Swashbuckling Academy - Like the Training School on Mystery Island, but using dubloons instead of Codestones and for lower level pets. On you pet's pet day it can train for free.
The Lost Desert

Brucey B accidentally discovered the Lost Desert when chasing his lucky coin! Find rich and exotic foods and curious Petpets, explore the city of Sakhmet, and play Tug-O-War with the natives!
Was once invaded by Dr. Frank Sloth.
The Lost Desert is one of the number of areas on Neopia which one can visit. In these worlds there are a large various activities. It has recently extended after the Lost Desert Plot to include the new sub-section called Qasala
Activities in the Lost Desert
- The Lost Desert has a large number of 'dailies' - activities that can net large prizes and can be committed once in an allotted time (normally a day) for free or a small price.

History of the Lost Desert
There have been two plots in the history of the Lost Desert. The more recent 'Lost Desert Puzzle Plot' and the plot that lead to the introduction of the Lost Desert, 'Brucey B's War'. The former was a puzzle plot in which the aim was to negotiate through two large mazes, reading scrolls and finding faeries in order to claim a 'Mysterious Scroll'. The latter was a war in which Dr. Frank Sloth attmepted to take over the world by unleashing a large number of evil things on Neopia, and others had to defeat them. They got points based on how many opponents they beat.
Tyrannia
A prehistoric land discovered miles beneath the Ice Caves in (need a date). Go there for dung furniture, evil pterodactyls, rock concerts, and of course a Giant Omelette!
Faerieland

A giant castle in the sky, full of games, puzzles, and faeries galore. Poogle Races take place every 15 minutes! Also check out the secret hidden tower... if you can find it!
Faerieland is enhabited by the faeries (well most of them anyway) and is the place you will come to when you need to report success on a Faerie Quest.
The soup faerie is rarely spotted in faerieland.
Terror Mountain

Three lands in one! Firstly you can go to Happy Valley, a snowy hamlet at the foot of the mountain, then traverse your way through the Ice Caves, and lastly to the peak of Terror Mountain itself!
Terror Mountain is made of three maps: Happy Valley, the Ice Caves, and Terror Mountain itself. In Happy Valley there are lots of shops. In the Ice Caves there are fun things to do like visit the Snowager,or buy a scratchcard with some of your Neopoints. At the Peak there are some shops and games like Cliffhanger.
Mystery Island
Kick back and relax at the Mystery Island. With cool games, shops, a trading post, a tour, and even a training school it is a fantastic place for you and your pet to visit. Watch out for the cannibals!
Virtupets Space Station
Evil Dr. Sloth has plans to turn all the Neopets in Neopia into his mutant slaves! Go to the Space Station and help thwart his evil plans! There are also games to play, things to buy, and much much more...
The space station is the technological mecca of Neopia.
Haunted Woods
The spooky halloween world! Who knows what evil lurks within these haunted woods! Read scary stories, embark on chilling quests, and beware the beast that lurks behind the tree...
