The Lupe is a wolf-like Neopet, released on January 13, 2000, as a selection from a Create-a-Pet Contest. Brave and loyal, though sometimes a little over confident, Lupes enjoy adventuring to new territories with their friends, and prowling around Neopia.
Lupes are common characters in Neopian Games and Plots, having one of the largest impacts on the world of Neopets.

- As of March 2010, over 13.1 million Lupe's have been created, placing them in 4th out of 54 Neopets in popularity. They are also featured in 161 different items.
- Revealed to the world on January 13, 2000 as a selection from the Create-a-Pet Contest along side the Elephante.
- Lupe Day is on May 2nd.
- The name "Lupe" comes from the Latin word lupus, meaning wolf.
