Bilge Dice is the latest and greatest dice game to hit [[Neopia]]! It takes a little bit of luck and a little bit of strategy to really master. Players take turns rolling a series of dice and the one with the highest total in the end is the winner. There is one catch - players must have secured a roll of 1 and a roll of 4 before the end in order for the player's score to count.

Players begin by rolling six dice. Each turn, you must select one or more dice to remove and be placed in the scoring pool. Once you have kept at least one die, the choice of re-rolling the remaining dice becomes available. If you re-roll the dice, you must keep at least one die before being able to re-roll again. In essence, you choose one or more dice to keep each round until no dice remain.
You can earn two [[avatars]] from playing Bilge Dice. One can be earned randomly while scoring a perfect 24. The second can be earned by winning ten games of Bilge Dice in a row.


In order for your final score to count, you must also fill the qualification requirements. These can be met by selecting to keep a 1 and a 4 at some point during the game. As you'll see, the first 1 and 4 you select to keep automatically go toward the qualifiers.
==How to play==
The gameplay is simple, but requires both luck and strategy to win, as it is played with dice. The bet is called ''Ante''. Once chosen, the game begins with the result of your first roll of six dice. Each roll, you have to ''Keep'' at least one result. The goal is to get as much points as possible by keeping only the best results (sixes) of a roll AND fulfilling the requirement of having kept a one and a four some time in the game. If you end the game without both of them, the score will not count and you lose.  


What is enough to win depends on your opponents. If things aren't going well for them, you can win by only getting 21 points. On the other hand, even getting the maximum amount of 24 points might sometimes not be enough. If one of you opponents also gets 24 points, the game will end in a tie.


If the player goes through all the dice, and is unable to keep a 1 and 4 before the end, that player is disqualified and loses.
You can see you opponents' results so far on the right side. It's important to keep track of their scores. For instance, if you have secured a one, a four and three sixes and have to choose whether to Keep a four or roll again, it might be a good idea to see how your opponents are doing. Possibly, they aren't doing so well and a four might turn out to be enough to win (although you never know for sure until the end).  


If the player does fill the 1 and 4 requirements, the remaining four dice are added together to form that player's score. Which ever player has the highest score is the winner. In the event of a tie, it is called a "push" and the ante will be returned to the players.  
There are three possible outcomes. The first is that you lose (your Ante), which happens when you are disqualified for not getting a one and a four, or when any of you three opponents has a better score. The second possible outcome is a tie, which happens when you have the same score as the best of your opponents' scores. In case of a tie, you get your Ante back. Lastly, you can win the game when you have a score that beats the other three. The prize is your Ante times four.
