Chomby and the Fungus Balls was a Tyrannian game, released on 27th March 2001 - with the number of levels available to play being expanded from 6 to 9 two days later. The game was retired 18th November 2004 and is now in the Game Graveyard.

Fungus balls were a common obstacle.

Players had to guide a Blue Chomby around a maze on each level, avoiding the fungus balls and mushrooms, in order to collect a green, five pointed star then return to the starpad, using the arrow keys to navigate. The Fungus Balls and the Mushrooms would move in predictable patterns, and would not actively seek out the Chomby.

From the 24th May 2001 onwards, sending a score of 800 points or more earned the user, like in Meerca Chase, a magical plushie. If played with, it would change a Neopet into the Chomby species.

The game's cast star in the eponymous band, playing at the Tyrannian Concert Hall on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th of the month.
