The Ixi is a goat or deer-like Neopet, released on 11 July 2002. They are dainty creatures with small horns and usually wear collars. They originally come from Meridell, although are now common all over Neopia.

While Ixi are usually depicted with cloven hooves, several Ixi featured in plots were shown with hands instead - such as Nabile, Sophie, and Hanso.

They are curious pets who get up to many adventures. They are associated with woodland and forests. In the Neopets Trading Card Game, they are associated with the element of earth.

Battledome

In the Battledome, Ixis take 30% less Earth damage, but are vulnerable to Darkness attacks, receiving 20% more damage from them. They also have six species abilities:

• Ixi Charge - Attack: 2 x Earth; Defence: none; available from level 1;
• Ixi Clout - Attack: 3 x Light, 1 - 3 x Physical; Defence: none; available from level 1;
• Ixi Leap - Attack: 2 x Air, 2 x Earth; Defence: none; available from level 8;
• Ixi Trample - Attack: 2 x Light, 2 x Physical; Defence: none; available on Ixi Day only;
• Ixi Earth Shield - Attack: none; Defence: 2 - 5 x Earth; available on Ixi Day only;
• Ixi Smash - Attack: 2 x Air, 2 x Physical; Defence: none; available on Ixi Day only;

There are also fifteen pieces of equipment that can only be used by an Ixi.
