Neopia is the planet in which Neopets, Faeries, and PetPets exist. All the events that occur in the world of Neopets occur in and around this planet. It is orbited by a single moon, Kreludor, and a large Space Station, both of which are also inhabited.
Worlds
Neopia is divided into several regions called worlds. A world may be notable for its environment or climate as much as its customs and rulers, with various nearby areas of the globe usually contrasting sharply in these respects.
There are currently fourteen worlds on the planet, with new worlds being discovered occasionally in relation to site events. These worlds are:
Additionally, there are four Mini-Worlds - Roo Island, Kiko Lake, Neovia, the Lost City of Geraptiku - and Lutari Island, available via the Neopets Mobile service. Kreludor and the Space Station are also frequently counted as worlds, but are not included here due to the fact they are not on Neopia itself.
Climate
The climate just as on Earth, varies from region to region and season to season. Exceptions to this rule is that The Lost Desert is always hot, Terror Mountain is always cold and there is no weather in the Virtupets space station.
World Development
Throughout Neopia and the different worlds there is variation in technological advancement and social customs. For example Virtupets is a high-tech space station while the residents of Meridell are still in Medieval times. How all worlds co-exist without some advancement has yet to be seen.
