Newbies Guide to Success!

Neopoints!
The whole site revolves around them, from games to shops even to the dreaded scammers! but how do you GET neopoints AND more importantly how do you get all of the size 70 shops and everything in them? as a newbie I would wish longingly at all of the expensive things I wanted to buy, but I never seemed to have the money. well if you follow these steps as a guide you should get closer to your goals.

Step 1.
Choose your neopet. DON'T go on a shopping spree with your first 250nps, set up a bank account, shop and get the newbie pack! (If you forget to do this don't worry I got my newbie pack 2 yrs after I started playing!) then explore the site, have fun, go and look in shops to get a rough idea of some of the prices and maybe start making a wish list.

Step 2.
Go and do all the free things! (Google "neopets free" or go into the newbies board and ask.) You may not win anything but then again you might! (I got 400 neopoints off the fruit machine today!) Find out when the Snowager sleeps (you could pick up a negg).

Step 3.
This may sound cruel but don't feed your neopets. It takes a lot of time and money to feed your pets. (if you want to battle they must be feed though) don't worry your pets wont die and you can still play with them.

Step 4.
Find the games you like and PLAY them! This is probably going to be your number 1 money maker. there are other easy games that you can play but I don't really like them so I wont list them. Try all the games to see if YOU like them, there's not much point playing a game you hate just because its easy or give out lots of neopoints!

Personally I like:
Puzzles: Word Pyramid, Time Tunnel, Cellblock, Destruct-O-Match II (and 1), Cheat!, Gadgadsgame, Kiko Match II (and 1), Meepit Juice Break, NeggSweeper, Pyramids, Spell-Or-Starve, Snowmuncher, ToyBox Escape, and Sutek's Tomb.

Action: Faerie Bubbles, Freaky Factory, Hasee Bounce (easy!), Ice Cream Machine (and the original which can be found in the games graveyard in haunted woods), Igloo Garage Sale the Game, Korbats Lab, Meerca Chase II (and 1), The Buzzer Game, and Jelly Blobs of Doom.

Step 5.
If you play every day note when NST is midnight. Make sure you have done all of the free things before midnight! (I get on around 5pm where I live and play till 6:30 watch a TV show then come back and replay all the games again!)

Extra information:
Invest in a shop and if you have items that you don't want put them in the shop! I did have a neohome but I found that it was a waste of money and it annoyed me that different rooms were made out of different things (depending on how much money I had on the day). If you really want to build one then have fun.

Go and buy scratch cards! (First from the ice caves then 2 hours later the fairground if you like.) DON'T scratch them they can be resold in your shop for 750 neopoints when you only paid 600 neopoints!

If you have any 'good' items like neggs etc. put them in your safety deposit box (SDB) and extra money in the bank as wandering ghosts do take items and neopoints. Update your bank account to a higher level as soon as you can as you earn more interest. Well happy playing and I hope you have fun!
