In-depth Guide at Making Neopoints
Written by gaminlegend38
So you're poor and you want a few neopoints. Well this guide will hopefully help anyone in trouble with neopoints, even if you're a veteran.
1.) Do the Freebies: Yes, probably the easiest thing to do all day in all of Neopia is to complete the freebies. Tombola, Coltzan's Shrine, Fruit Machine, Snowager (even though you risk the chances of your pets becoming hurt), etc. In addition, collect the free omelette. My pet single-handedly lives off of omelettes.
2.) Play Games: This is a very reliable source of income. I believe all of the flash games do not require neopoints to be played, but some of the text-based games do like Pyramid, Neo-Poker, etc. - basically all of the luck and chance games. I'm not going to tell you what games to play because certain Neopians have certain interests. Play the games that you enjoy, not what I enjoy or any other Neopian enjoys.
3.) Luck/Chance Games: If you're feeling lucky, try games like the Wheel of Fortune, Wheel of Monotony, etc. You can even try the lottery, but chances are against you and at 100 NPs per lottery ticket, the lottery may not be best thing for Neopians on a budget. However, head on up to the Ice Caves to receive your scratch card from the Scratch Card Kiosk. Instead of scratching the card, go create a shop and sell it. This will be explained a little bit more in detail in the next tip.
4.) Restocking: What is restocking? Restocking is the process of buying items, and then selling those items for a profit.
Example: Let's use that scratchcard that you bought earlier. For this example, we will say that you received a Terror Trove Scratchcard. You originally bought it at 600 NPs, but you can resell the item for, let's say, 900 NPs.
Anyways, restocking is many Neopians main source of income. However, if you want to become a successful restocker, then you will probably need at least broadband Internet connection. If you want to try and restock with a dial-up connection, have fun, but chances are youre going to be beaten by someone with a fast connection.
Some tips I have learned are to go for items that have at least 3 or 4 in stock. If you go for something rare, chances are that someone else will get that item. You may be able to buy the item, but 9/10 times someone else will get that item before you. Also, dont try to haggle too much.
The main tip is to practice and learn. Before you get into the fast, exciting world of restocking, sit out a few restocks learning what items to buy and what items to stay away from. Also take note of what items sell out fast. Before you know it, you will be pretty good restocker.
Here is a list of good shops to restock at in my opinion:
A. Magic Shop - Location: Neopia Central - This is my personal favorite shop to restock at. Many Neopians lurk in the Magic Shop waiting for Nova, Supernova, or Transmogrification Potions. However, those potions come up once every 15 or so restocks from my experience. Nova and Supernova arent extremely hard to restock, but you do have to have a fast finger to restock them. I mainly go there to restock motes.
B. Chocolate Factory - Location: The Neopian Bazaar - I have never made a huge profit buying chocolates, but some chocolates do make you a few thousand neopoints.
C. Book Shop - Location: Neopia Central - You defiantly need a high-speed connection for this. This shop sells out extremely fast. If you come to this shop 30 seconds after a restock, you will probably see a few books left. So in order to restock at this shop, you need to be fast. Most books make a profit, but a few dont so be careful.
I also restock at other shops, but those three are my favorite.
5.) Employment Agency: Every 10 minutes, the employment agency receives more basic jobs. These jobs are taken very fast, so dont expect to see jobs waiting when you come a minute after new jobs are released.
An easier way to get jobs in my opinion is to go to the second page and hit refresh. Scroll down and search for a job that has a decent time limit and a decent payoff. The faster you finish the job, the more neopoints you get.
6.) Stock Market: Patience is the main word if you invest in stocks. Dont expect to receive a 100,000 neopoint gain by waiting a couple hours. I earned 190,000 neopoints after I invested around 8,000 shares in one single stock. This didnt happen overnight. It took one full month for that to happen.
Some things to remember when investing in the stock market is that you can only buy shares that have a price of at least 15 NPs. In addition, you can only buy 1,000 shares every day.
I dont assure you that you will make one million neopoints in a few days, weeks, or even months, but this guide should help you in your long process.
