Year 1 takes place in 1999, coming along with the launch of Neopets.com.

Neopets.com launched on November 15th, 1999. Very little is know what occurred during this time, as the New Features section wasn't established until January 2000.
In Neopia[edit]
With the launch of the site, users got a first look at the world of Neopia. Though very little is known about this time, it has been established that Neopia Central - Or some early form of it existed, along with a handful of pets such as Aisha.
