Plot summary[edit]
The Return of Dr. Sloth[edit]
- Main article: The Return of Dr. Sloth
As the story opens, Ylana is chasing the Cybunny Scout though the halls of the Virtupets Space Station. During the chase, Scout ducks into maintenance pipe and Ylana loses track of her.
Later, after Sloth's troops have taken over the space station, Ylana tells Commander Garoo that she needs to inspect all of the prisoners in order to find the Cybunny Scout. The Blumaroo commander begrudgingly grants her permission to do so. Moments later, Gorix and a small band of Resistance fighter attack Sloth's troops and manage to drive them back temporarily. The Resistance members use this opportunity to rescue all of the prisoners and direct them to a shuttle that will take them to safety. As the last of the prisoners are boarding the shuttle, Ylana spots the Cybunny Scout among a group of Resistance fighters. She fires her blaster at Scout and is able to hit her in the foot, injuring the her and leaving her wide open to attack. Just as Ylana is about finish off Scout for good, Cylara tackles the bounty hunter from behind, throwing her off balance. Gorix uses this opportunity to attack Ylana with his ray gun, and he is able to push Ylana back long enough to allow himself, Cylara, and Scout to escape.
Sometime after this, Garoo scolds Ylana for her failure. Ylana retorts by pointing out that Garoo himself lost all of the prisoners that Sloth was going to use to create his mutant army. The two continue to argue until they are suddenly attacked by Commander Valka and his Resistance fighters. Using her blaster, Ylana is easily able to fend off her attackers. She wonders aloud why the Cybunny Scout couldn't be so easy to take out.
After hearing Ylana's words on a monitor at Resistance Headquarters, Scout rushes into battle despite her injuries. She is able to sneak up behind Ylana, and the two engage in an evenly matched fight. This fight abruptly ends when Sloth's ship is destroyed, and Ylana, knowing that there is now no one to pay her, decides to teleport away.
