The Uni is a species of Neopet named and modelled after the unicorn but with the addition of a pair of wings inspired by the mythical Pegasus. They were released on November 15, 1999 as one of the original Neopets on the site.

Unis are typically portrayed as being very vain creatures that spend hours of each day combing their manes, admiring their reflections, and constantly making sure that they look their best at all times. Though wary of getting their hooves dirty, Unis are very inquisitive Neopets that adore nature and making friends most of all.

In the Neopets Trading Card Game, Unis are associated with the element of Light.

Battledome

In the Battledome, Unis have no natural resistances, however they do have six species abilities:

Uni Kick - Attack: 1 - 2 x Physical; Defence: none; available from level 3;
Uni Slap - Attack: 2 x Air, 2 x Earth; Defence: none; available from level 10;
Uni Rejuvinate - Attack: none; Defense: none; gives 1-3 Lime Elixirs (item) depending on level; available from level 20;
Uni Joust - Attack: 2 x Earth, 1 x Physical; Defence: none; available on Uni Day only;
Uni Bite - Attack: 2 x Earth; Defence: none; available on Uni Day only;
Uni Smile - Attack: unknown; Defence: unknown; available on Uni Day only.

There are also sixteen pieces of equipment that can only be used by a Uni.
