The Haunted Woods is a spooky Halloween-themed world within Neopets, introduced on 31st October 2000. It is filled with many evil and wretched things, and home to Eliv Thade, Edna and many other villains of Neopia.

• Esophagor:He can provide answers to the Brain Tree's questions about deceased Neopets in return for food in his own quests.
• Game Graveyard:The Game Graveyard is a place where games go when they are dead(retired).

• Witch's Tower:Where Edna gives out her quests, to which a user is rewarded a Spooky Food.

The Deserted Fairground

Deep within the Haunted Woods lies a spooky old fairground. However there are plenty of shops and games and other things to do considering it is "deserted". It has many carnival-themed foods and games.

Yooyuball

Main article: Team Haunted Woods

Although they won the first Altador Cup, they have failed to break into the first tier again, never placing better than 7th. Though they have a talented defensive-based team, they can't put up the goals they need to win.

Climate

The weather is relatively cool and fairly wet in the summer, with plenty of rain. It is very wet in the spring and fall, with rain or snow almost every day, and it is very cold in the winter with blizzards and strong winds.

Trivia

• The Deserted Fairground map was added on October 31, 2002.
• On October 2, 2006 when The Tale of Woe began, the world map was changed to show the Gypsy Camp.
• The Haunted Woods was one of the candidates for the Best Place to Live category during the 2008 Neopies.
