Flotsam enjoy swimming in the oceans and rivers of [[Neopia]], but they can move just as well on land if they need to. They are quick, and can sense danger by studying the temperature of waters and the movement in the clouds. And even in the coldest of climates, they always find a way to have fun. It is believed they cannot breathe underwater like the real-life dolphin, and must come back to the surface for another breath of air. This belief is strengthened by the [[Neopets TCG]] card [http://www.neopets.com/tcg/displayCard.phtml?edid=7&id=22 Green Flotsam], which says, "A favourite game among the Flotsam is to dive underwater and see how far they can dive in one breath."
