The [[Usul]] is a [[Wikipedia:Squirrel|squirrel]]-like [[Neopet]] released on November 15, 1999 as one of the original Neopets on the site. Usuls are loyal and friendly pets who prefer to live in trees. During cold weather, Usuls are the first to share their food with friends.
The [[Lenny]] is a bird-like [[Neopet]] similar to the [[Wikipedia:Stork|Stork]] or [[Wikipedia:Flamingo|Flamingo]] (and [[Wikipedia:Peafowl|Peafowl]] when coloured [[Faerie]]). One of the original Neopets released on the site, the Lenny is a highly intelligent and curious bird and perhaps [[Neopia]]'s most intelligent species, as made apparent by such Lennies as the [[Conundrum Lenny]] and [[Finneus]]. They can master many forms of magic and use their cunning to outwit any opponent. Lennies can fly, but their wings can only carry them short distances, and usually only to a hover. Despite the fact they have been around since the creation of Neopets, they are the least popular Neopet not [[Limited Edition]] and have a smaller growth ratio in comparison to even newer Neopets.
 
The Usul began to receive large attention on June 7, 2001, with the release of [[Usuki Doll]]s and [[Usukiland]], an [[item]] type and [[shop]] which focuses solely on Usul-type items. The Usul can also be painted the ''Usuki'' [[colour]], which is unique to the Usul with the '''Usuki [[Paint Brush]]'''. Because of its affiliation with Usuki, the Usual is to date the most featured Neopet in all of the items in Neopets, with newer Usuki being added every year, including on August 20, the ''Annual Usuki Doll Convention''.
