It's a universal platitude about Lennies that their minds work so quickly, they can never keep up with their own thoughts. It's a universal platitude about Lennies that their minds work so quickly, they can never keep up with their own thoughts. There is also the old fable about the Lenny who thought so much faster than he talked that halfway through his sentences he would second-guess his own logic and begin to argue with himself. Though Lennies are greatly offended by these sentiments, they aren't entirely without merit. The avian Neopets, hailing from the Lost Desert, are perhaps Neopia's most intelligent species, but they are often too overwhelmed by the rush of their own ideas to speak. Hence there is a stereotype of Lennies as flustered, prattling individuals -- the "reclusive eccentric" caricature manifest in an entire species. But when Lennies manage to keep their heads straight, their innate genius can serve in staggering ways; indeed, more Lennies have become historically famous philosophers and mathematicians than any other Neopet, and only the Koi have surpassed them in the field of inventing. Lennies also have a strong affinity for magic (although not as much as, for instance, the Aisha or Kau) and have made many famous and infamous mages throughout Neopian history.
