Senator Palpus was one of the greatest generals of the Sakhmet defence force before he retired many years ago. Now the great general is one of Sahkmet's most popular senators. Since his retirment, the general's belly has continued to expand, which is probably why he quit the army so many years ago.
As a senator, Palpus was one of the few if not the only person to see opening Sahkmet to the rest of Neopia would be profitable. However, though he received many medals and rewards from military service an political service most chose to ignore his ideas.
Ultimately, Senator Palpus is known for putting principal before politics. Thanks to this policy Palpus has earned the respect, admiration and affection of not just Sakhmetian voters but also of Senator Barca.
