The term Zombie refers to a creature in Neopia (usually a Neopet or Petpet) which which bares resemblance to or is a Zombie. Zombies were first introduced onto Neopets on (need date), and was introduced as an actual colour on October 25, 2007.
Overview
Zombified creatures in Neopia walk around moaning about Brains and are believed to be indulge in the grey matter's consumption... behind closed doors, of course. It's a theory that has no textual backing, but the silence may just be The Neopets Team's way of keeping Neopets a bright and cheery place (on the surface).
Zombies are one of the many pop culture references The Neopets Team places into the game. Their hopping on the zombie bandwagon can be seen in Neopian Times editorial #158, where they claim to dress as Zombies. It's also interesting to note that the staff is said to have met the director of Shaun of the Dead.
Colour
As of November 2008, 11 Neopets can be coloured Zombie...
Trivia
- While the Zombie Paintbrush was released on October 25, 2007, it was claimed by The Neopets Team in Neopian Times editorial #85 no such Paintbrush would exist, due to the similarities shared with Ghost Neopets.
- As of January 2008, Zombies are featured in 17 different items.
