The Flotsam is an aquatic Neopet similar to the Dolphin. Released at the beginning of Neopets on November 15, 1999, The Flotsam originally resembled a Goldfish, but was changed to its current design on 22nd June 2000, subject to a few later design changes.
Flotsam enjoy swimming in the oceans and rivers of Neopia, but they can move just as well on land if they need to. They are quick, and can sense danger by studying the temperature of waters and the movement in the clouds. And even in the coldest of climates, they always find a way to have fun.
