The Snow faerie(Prior to sometime last summer) had been a great way to profit from purchasing moderately priced chocolate or other items(such as medicines and the occasional toys). Howver, once they increased the rarity of nearly every valuable item Taelia gave out, her quests became quite unattractive economically.

it's quite important to remember that you wont allways get what you give. For example, if you are on a Kitchen Quest, and it costs over 15k for the items required, the price for the quest is exceeding the pice of 203 codestones, assuming you're a newer battler, then its not worth it for a measely stat increase.

You need to set a limit for each of the questors and not do any quests over that limit. Here are my guidelines to how much I spend for each quest: 200 for the witch, 400 for the esophagor, 400 for the kitchen dude, 2000-2500 for the Snow Faerie. Some people say my limit for the kitchen dude is too low--however, I don't battle. If I did battle, I would probably spend more on the kitchen dude.

Morningstar brings up a good point. It's best not to follow the norm or listen to others when basing where you should put the bar when it comes to paying for quests. It depends on where you want to go in Neopia. If you want to be a battler, then it makes sense to raise the ammount you're willing to spend on the Kitchen Quests.

There ar eother benefits to doing these quest though, Like avatars or battledome challengers(I feel the Kitchen Dude would make an awesome challenger, whole new spin to attack peas.) :D

Morningstar's np limit is pretty much the near absolute method to not lose nps doing these quests unless you are really unlucky to get a wet snowball and 900+np from Taelia.

however, for the more adventurous, i think Edna's definitely worth a shop spending up to 2000 np per quest. there's a pretty good chance you get some of the more profitable spooky food (candy corn classic, snorkle snout, pickled eyeball etc.) :D

Really? In all of the times I have gone to her, I have only once got something worth more than 800 nps--it was spider liquorice and I just about jumped for joy. That was back when spider liquorice was worth about 10K.

What about the Brain Tree's quests? Do you guys ever just give up after the first Esophagor quest cause the second one for the second part of the answer is too expensive?

I don't ever do Brain Tree anymore. I have lost too many nps trying to get the answer.

But, I have found that many people don't realize that you can go to the esphagor and ask for a quest without going to the brain tree first. You just avoid the brain tree altogether.

I tried to do the Brain Tree quest a while back (I need a Brain Tree Mace, and was hoping I'd get it for doing the quest), but when I went to see the Esophagor, he asked for a Candy Skull, so I didn't even do the first part of the quest.

:(

that's happened to me countless times. I'll go to the esophagor, do an easy .5-1k quest, then go again and get an impossible 2nd quest. It's usually not worth it.

Yesterday I got some new food from the news from the esophagor! I usually spend around 1k for Espophagor (not in combination with brain tree), 3-4k for the snow faerie, 3-4k for the kitchen (spend 2k for the quest, got some raspberry neodrops...) and 500np for the witch.

I like her quests the best, I almost always profit from them, and the highest I spent was about 8K and she gave me something worth over 15K. For the most part, I try not to risk past 4-5K.

On that note: Sure wish Edna would give me that AV!!! I never profit from her quests!

For the Snow Faerie Quest, I set a limit of between 4,000 and 5,000 NPs, depending on what mood I'm in. I have the same limit for the Kitchen Chef, but I've noticed the past few months that he's giving out crummy stuff. So I haven't been doing his quests very often. The one thing that bugs me about the stat raises he gives is that they are not solely applied to your active pet. I want the stats to go to my Battle pet, but they often don't.

I really miss the great things you could win in the past from the Snow Faerie. A couple years ago I won a Sinsis Sword, Blue Scorchstone, Green Scorchstone, etc. It was so exciting!

Looking to buy Snowbunny Stamp and Sticky Snowflake Stamp. If you're selling, please PM me!

I have the following limits:

Taelia: 3000 NP
Edna: 500-1000 NP (depends on how generous i feel)
Esophagor: Only the "cheap" items
Brain tree: First quest if Esophagor wants cheap items, second 3000-4000 np.
I stopped doing Kitchen quest, since I have 4 pets, and he stat he raises is random

4K ish. At tops. I usually get around 7K plus in Items and NPS. i think that the Esophagor quest is the best though. I mean the things he asks for are usually really really cheap or expensive. And when you do a cheap one you can get neggs and toys which can be worth 10K plus so it is well worth it. The kitchen is the worst though. My pets sats do not need to be improved as I've got the lab ray however I did get a 30K plushe from him once and a 20K stamp another time.

So is it worth it to do the opt-in quests? I only did Jhudora and Illusen for the avs- they seemed pretty expensive - but it could just be me.
